I LOVED these books. I am still sad that the saga has come to an end.
So, I was at the 10:00 showing last night. Glad to have bought my tickets in advance because it was sold out and just crazy packed. We got there about 45 minutes early and the line was already super long to be seated. It was a lot longer then the line up for Sex & The City The Movie, and I thought that was nuts. Even though the majority were young girls, I was happy to see other Twilightmom’s over 30 along for the fun. And it was fun!

Yesterday morning Gerry and I drove up to our trailer to winterize it. It’s about five hours up north from here. We had such a good time. We got there early afternoon, unloaded the truck, set up the trailer and then drove in to town for a couple of hours. We walked around Home Depot and picked out a new kitchen counter top and cabinet handles. Then we had a nice dinner before heading back. That’s when it started to snow. It was soooo cold up there! As soon as we got back to the campground we pulled out the comforter to share on the couch and popped in a movie. It was so nice be alone. We don’t get that very often these days. The only bad part was that the water on our sight had already been shut off for the winter so I had to run to the bath house across the way any time I needed to pee. Other then that it was the perfect get away weekend with my husband. Lots of snuggling and laughing.
No campfire for us this trip!

It was cold but still a beautiful place to be.

The drive home was even more beautiful. We drive the coast of Lake Huron, it looked like a post card today.

Six hours of no power, no phone and NO INTERNET while at work is NO fun! I finished up my paper work via flashlight in less then an hour. I napped at my desk for about forty five minutes and the rest of the time I was up walking around my desk, praying to the gods for power and feeling frustrated that my boss said I had to stay here. The worst was sitting here at my desk and feeling so disconnected. I think I was starting to enter some kind of geek detox? I could just feel the shakes and the sweats coming on and just like that the lights popped on and our power was restored.
Thank you electric gods ! Thank you for returning to me and giving me power.

For the first time in a long time, I am feeling extra festive and filled with Christmas spirit. The past few holiday seasons I’ve waited until the last minute to put up the tree, decorate and shop. Not this year. This year I am ready! I am feeling so festive I can easily see myself over doing the decorations. In fact, I am planning on it. Gerry and I will be out of town this weekend but next weekend I am planning on pulling everything out of the attic. I am putting it ALL up this year too. There wont be an inch of my house that will not be feeling the Christmas spirit.

I am waking up to a day with NO real commitments. Other then a few things around the house like laundry and cooking a nice dinner, I am free to catch up on DVR recordings and blogs today. I am so looking forward to this.

Wow, look at me! I am actually blogging. It feels like forever since I had the time to write out a post.
I am still recouping from Tuesday night’s election and all of it’s glory. It was awesome being able to share it with some of my closest online friends via Twitter. What a great night for so many reasons !!
My days have been pretty busy at work preparing for year end stuff. My evenings have been super busy with errands and never ending motherhood and house work.
I am looking forward to spending time with my daughter Bethany and her daughter Rebecca tonight. Tomorrow morning, I am dropping the dog off at the groomers, taking Allison to a riding lesson and then Gerry and I are meeting my uncle for an afternoon visit and early dinner. After dinner, I am picking up Allison’s BFF for an evening movie (HSM3) and a sleep over at our house. Should be a good time. I’ll admit it, I am looking forward to seeing HSM3 on the big screen. Then Sunday, is an open day. I am planning some house work, a nice home cooked dinner with my family and some R & R.
