Reading for Lisa

Question: Will our money situation work itself out so that we aren't living paycheck to paycheck?
Cards: King of Pentacles, The Star (reverse), Five of Pentacles
Deck used: Tarot of a Moon Garden

Past - King of Pentacles - This card points to a time in your past where things were financially secure. It may be speaking simply to a time when you were more on top of your finances - saving more, spending more wisely, etc.
Present - The Star (reverse) - You are definitely having a rough time right now. I get the distinct impression of a string of losses and bad luck, each compounding the one before. I get the feeling that you didn't always live paycheck to paycheck, that there was a time when things were easier.
Future - Five of Pentacles - this is not generally a good card, it tends to point to more rough times ahead, specifically in regards to money and finances. However I get the feeling that it may simply be a matter that things have to get worse before they can begin to get better. If credit card or loan payments are an issue it may point to a need to get out from under the debts by refinancing or even declaring bankrupcy as a way to start over "fresh". If nothing else it points to the need to get yourself prepared to weather the storms ahead by cutting more corners, and pinching more pennies while holding on to the knowledge that nothing lasts forever and that this too shall eventually pass.

Past - 7 of Cups - Be sure that when you are looking at the relationship you had in the past that you are not remembering it as better than it was. As time passes we tend to gloss over the things we'd rather forget and remember only the good stuff. There were reasons that the relationship ended. Make sure that these issues have been resolved before you move forward.

Present - 2 of Cups - This is the classic card for the beginning of a romantic relationship. It points not only to romance, but to true union. However, its placement in the present leads me to the belief that it speaks more to your current readiness for a relationship and less to that person being here in your life currently.

Future - Page of Cups (reverse)- This card points to a person who is less a life-partner and more of a distraction. It points less to love and affection and more to seduction. I get the clear impression of a person who always says the right things, knows how to worm himself into the heart and good graces of another wihtout deserving it.

Question: I just got laid off from my job, and I'd like to have a reading on how my prospects look.
Cards: 2 of swords, 9 of staffs, Queen of pentacles
Deck used: Tarot of a Moon Garden

Past - 2 of swords (reverse) - I almost get the feeling that, in terms of the lay off, that someone pushed you under the bus. There is a sense of betrayal associated with this situation that seems to go beyond merely losing a job. I do not know if promises were broken by a superior or if you simply feel that it was handled poorly.

Present - 9 of staffs - Unfortunately the cards seem to point to you going through a period of difficulties and struggle. The best way to prepare for these types of situations is to simply accept them and to make whatever changes you can to your habits and spending proactively. Additionally try and find the blessing in the "extra time" that unemployment gives you and make time for yourself.

Future - Queen of pentacles - The future points to both prosperity and abundance. While the immidiate future may be rough and rocky, trust in the knowledge that there are better days ahead.

Knight of Swords is fearless and bold, almost completely removed from the realm of emotion, which bring confidence, energy, fearlessness can also be detrimental without the balance of compassion and the heart. Queen of Swords, never shows her emotions, cuts to the heart of the matter and reveals the truth, no matter how harsh. A quick mind, strength of will but when used harshly can lead to bitterness and lonliness. The Lovers can also show the integration of two conflicting parts of self, the masculine and the feminine. and through the combination and understanding of both, a greater wisdom is revealed.
I get a sense of enormous potential, fierce raw creativity, and the feeling I get from the reading is that success is definitely possible. The message I hear is that the head and the heart must work together, that raw mental fierceness is not enough, a digging deeper to the heart and inner self is necessary to draw out the diamond that lies within ready to be discovered.
