Huurrrrrooooyyy!!!!

Curryegg has received another Popular Blog Award again from Bloggerunited!!!! Oh my. I'm seriously excited since the very first day of 2009. I've never felt so honour becoming a blogger till Rei, the founder of Bloggerunited organized a room for awards giving every month. Yes. Every MONTH!

This idea is like a motivation which will drive every blogger to blog more, connect to the community more and produce quality posts more.

Undeniably, this is one of the motivation which will encourage each of us - the blogger to be more active in blogosphere. Besides, it is something proud which we would love to keep in our long term memory and a way to thank our readers for following our blog.

It is a compliment.
It is an encouragement.
It is a gift.

This time, the interview is special because Bloggerunited's new moderators are working on their first task and successfully conducted the session. 4 interviews have been done and you can spot our interviews on top of the Bloggerunited homepage.

I love this latest banner. Thank Rei.

Blue8118, me, Relaxtoday and Caffery received awards for Popular Blogger Of The Month, Popular Blog, Popular Blogger and Blogger Of Hospitality respectively.

My interviewee, Worldangle (Wendy) is smart in leading the whole interview session with her brainstorming questions. Seriously, it makes me think a lot, reflecting my past, present and future.

Good job Wendy!
Thank for the wonderful session. I love it!

Love you all!

Photography Is My Passion - How About You?

Written by curryegg at 12:36 AM

08 January 2009

Still remember the very first photography session of mine?
It was about a month ago when May and I were being a one day model. The experience is fun and I enjoy the process a lot - accept those irritating mosquitoes' bites. Eeeiiiks!

I HATE MOSQUITOES!!!!

Well, who don't? Right?
But I like Edward in Twilight.. Kekekz.. :P

After the photography session, I am even motivated to become a photographer using professional DSLR and lenses. Oh my. When will my dream come true?

When ar? When ar? Emmm.....

Anyway, it is fine as I still have my pink eggie and I still can snap good pictures, right? I shall learn crawling before running. So, let me earn my own bucks, save them up and purchase it in future... No worries.

So, last week, my family and I been to Putrajaya and amazingly, the night view is really beautiful. What a big difference between day and night views. Wow!

My lovely sister.. ;)

She is so lovely.. ;D

And she is mine! >.<

I love the lights and the surrounding. You will spot a lot of family activities there especially at the ground which is opposite the huge mosque. Some were chit chatting, some were playing badminton, some were singing, some were eating curry!

Lol.. Just joking.. :P

What do you think on my photography skills? Any improvement? Or how can I capture quality photos? I do need comments in order to improve. Yes. Indeed.. I need your help.

Hope that you are enjoying the Putrajaya Night View!
:)

Still, I Love The Original Hainan Kopitiam

Written by curryegg at 10:31 AM

Local post.

There is no way I will forget the original Hainan Kopitiam, never ever!

As we know, there are a lot of Hainan Kopitiam out there in Malaysia and the number of franchise kopitiam is mushrooming since a decade ago. Most of the franchise shops with outstanding design and free wireless service have beaten down those shops with old design. Not to mention these unattractive Hainan old shop with no conditioning room and less variety of food are at the losing battle.

P/s: Kopitiam is originated from Hainan word which means coffee shop.

But who cares?

Curryegg still love the old Hainan Kopitiam and always have her breakfast there with her dad. Well, we are not just having breakfast in that particular shop. We go to any Hainan Kopitiam which we think is nice and original.

Of course, Oldtown is still listed in our list but when it comes to breakfast, I will prefer the old Hainan Kopitiam.

The reasons will be:

  1. They make good drink - especially milk tea (milk+tea), kopi O and Sham Yat Jiang (Coffee+Tea+milk)
  2. Friendly service - They will chat with you and treat you as friend. You can't get a foreign worker like in Oldtown to chat football result or petrol price with you.
  3. Fresh toasted bread - You will get fresh toasted bread which taste like heaven with good quality kaya and butter.
  4. Free newspaper - Yes. Free newspaper for reading.
  5. Ancient decoration - You get to enjoy whatever your grandparents had experienced before.
  6. Learn Hainan dialect - if you're lucky, you can get free learning course!
  7. I am a Hainanese - :P
  8. Reminded me about my grandpa - He worked in a kopitiam when he was still alive.
  9. Cheaper!

Haha..

These are the reasons which attracted me to keep on going back to the Hainan Kopitiam (some are not 100% original anymore).

And I just had my breakfast in a Hainan shop couple of hours ago. I have no class today and it has allowed me to enjoy my beautiful morning with my favourite healthy oats bun and Sam Yat Jiang.

Yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sam Yat Jiang is Hainan words mean 3 in 1 - milk, coffee and tea. This is one of the best-popular-drink in kopitiam and you should try if you haven't.

Photo was taken using - N eggie. Not bad!

It is soft and mouth watering with kaya and butter in it.. :P

No photo of myself because I was still half wake half asleep while having my breakfast this morning. That would have spoilt your day if I insisted to to put my photo here. Hahahaha...

Still, I love the original Hainan Kopitiam.
Shouldn't I?

;)

Buckle Up Your Seat Belt!

Written by curryegg at 12:06 AM

06 January 2009

"Curry! Stop lying and rolling on the seats! Buckle up your belt or pay RM300!"

That was my first warning which I received from my dad during in the very first week of January 2009. Heart broken. Ever since my very first time knowing how to sit on the car seat till the end of 2008, I had never fasten my seat belt when I was on the passenger seats. Ok, accept the front seats - of course.

NO one taught me nor mentioned about this so far.
It has been nearly 21 years and right now, I am forced to change my sitting style.

worried

It was so bored as I couldn't squeeze into the gap between the two front seats, getting better view of the surrounding, cooler air and escaping myself from the scary UV light.

Sigh...

Furthermore, I can't sleep horizontally on the seats any longer. All I should do is to put on the seat belt, controlling my movement and activity.

Big sigh...

It was so... soo.... soooooo... boring..
What an emo post of mine.

Whatever it is, I must accept as this is the new rule and no one should break it. Or else, pay the fine, go to jail or both!

You don't wanna see Curryegg trap in the jail because of the new-seat-belt-rule right? Neither I want to see you there. Choi~

So lets us smile and accept the rule openly and willingly. Be a good citizen by following the rule. You wanna have a safe journey too right?

Come~
Come~

Give a smile...

fake one..

and say, "I'm happy with the new enforcement"!

:P

P/s: I think I should make a big REMINDER, sticking on the seat to remind me to buckle up my seat belt. I'm too forgetful... :(

Don't Steal This Car, But Next Car!

Written by curryegg at 11:09 PM

04 January 2009

I almost fainted when I spotted a car with a mini signboard, hanging humbly behind at a corner of the rear windscreen.

Did I just say humble?
Haha...

Yes.
A really humble message from the owner of the car.
Let's peep closer...

*zooming at the yellow signboard*

*zooming*
*zooming*
*zooming*

I almost get there.. Done!
So, here you are. The best view I can capture over the message after being zoomed and focused by my pink-eggie (the name of my camera).

"WAIT! Don't Steal this Car. The car over there is much NICER"

Hahaha...

What a brilliant message to the car theft.
However, isn't that nasty at the same time? Convincing the potential theft to steal other car.

Haha..
What a lovely society???

I don't wanna park my car besides it.
No no no...

;D
