Legit: Get PC Magazine Digital Edition Free For a Year
Did you know that the print edition of PC Magazine is discontinued from January 2009 and is going 100% digital?
You will still be able to buy a digital edition but you may wanna grab December’s last print edition if you are into that sort of preserving a piece of history.
How is PC Magazine FREE?
I mentioned Legit in the title as anything that says ‘free digital edition’ usually screams piracy to me. And this is offer is not.
The Read Green initiative is offering PC Magazine’s Digital Edition for FREE for one year. You can grab it by going to this link here.
The link took me to Zinio.com for signing up for an user account and it then delivered PC Magazine’s digital issue to my library in Zinio.
What is Zinio?
Zinio is a leading global online publishing, distribution services company. Zinio partners with 850 major consumer brands available digitally and delivers it via the web. With a free Zinio account, you can purchase or add free digital versions of magazines/books, etc to your library.
You will be notified by email wheen a free digital edition arrives in your Zinio library.
You can then either download to read later or read the book/magazine online in Zinio’s nice online reader. The download option does need a Zinio reader installed and the software is available for Windows Xp/Vista and Mac OS X.
What else is FREE?
Read Green initiative is trying to promote eco-friendly reading by offering you one online magazine for free for 1-year. Some of the good title i saw in there are

- Reader’s Digest
- iPhone Life
- MIT Technology Review
- Men’s Journal
- US News
- Popular Science
- Penthouse
- Playboy Mexico
- Kiplinger’s
- Home Theatre
The catch is you get only one magazine for year for FREE for an user account with Zinio. But, since GoReadGreen link asks for just an email address, if you have multiple email addresses, you could get a FREE magazine for every email account.
About the url, just try the magazine name after www.goreadgreen.com like www.goreadgreen.com/parenting. If the name has 2 words try a hyphen inbetween like mens-journal and it worked.
Which ones are you gonna get?
