So many Christmas holidays are spent trying to keep up a frantic pace. We try to get so much done and find ourselves overwhelmed. That has never been my problem. In fact, I enjoy being out in the crowds. I love to look at the Christmas decorations in the mall and admire those who decorate their houses with lights. It makes me feel like I am in a movie where everyone is scurrying about. The tone is melancholy as no one really connects until they get back to their own homes. Families are the ones who embrace each other and make us feel connected.
I ran across a wonderful post at Nodin’s Nest the brought out some feelings I had not realized were owned by me. I had not been able to put a finger on why the holidays make me sad. DJ helped me to, finally, realize that it is the passing of the moment that gets me all worked up. Too soon the memories are in the past. Time goes too fast.
Keeping her post in mind is how I intend to enjoy my holiday to its fullest. We can’t NOT enjoy the moment because we are mourning the loss of time. Here’s to enjoying the moment and being glad it is here for the taking.

It might be a possibility that businesses are scrambling to hire people for the holiday season but you would think with all the unemployed people there would be some intelligent clerks to hire. I thought I was going to have to write out an explanation for a clerk at Victoria’s Secret. She could not comprehend that when you returned something and picked out a different item for the same price, it should be an even exchange. She insisted that I was going to have to pay $10 because I used a coupon to purchase the the first item. Fortunately, her cash register would not register the return the way she wanted so she had to ring it as an exchange. She told me I was getting a deal because the way it rung up was an even exchange. I just looked at her.

I have admiration for the talented musicians of today’s music. It drives me crazy when I watch television shows with a band and the cameras rarely focus on the band! I could spend hours watching the band and admiring them as they make music. Do you ever watch Dancing With the Stars? The band on that show is amazing. They have so many talented musicians and I rarely get a glimpse of them. I would love to find out how each of them found their way on the show. Did they start out in a garage band? Were they in the marching band at their high school?
Independent musicians often find themselves struggling to be “discovered”. They look for ways to showcase their talent and often find themselves performing in front of uncaring crowds. They go on with the hope that one day they will be discovered. Scrappy Music understands. Scrappy Music - Home of the $3.95 Band Shirt understands the need for promoting independent music. Musicians have discovered that they can promote their band and music with custom tshirts, girl tees, hoodies, and sweatshirts from Scrappy Music. Scrappy Music has great deals so that the struggling musician can have quality products they need to promote themselves. Affordable promotional products enable them to sell products that get their name out before the public. Scrappy Music is helping independent musicians promote their music. If you are an independent musician or know of someone who can use this information, please let them know how Scrappy Music is there for them.
