CVS Must Buys for Me

I haven't been shopping much at CVS just because I'm so worn out by the end of the day. I don't feel like to go out after I get home from work. I just want to veg and chill out so I've only gone "CVSing" when there's an item I really need.

I looked through this week's CVS ad and saw TG Lee Milk is on sale! Awesome! I've been waiting for it to go on sale again at CVS. I like TG Lee milk because it's hormone free. I look through the monthly ad and see that you can get $10 ECBs for buying Sambucol!!! Perfect timing because we ran out and it's that season where many start getting sick. If you haven't tried Sambucol, this is the best time to buy it and try it because it will only be 2.99 after ECBs.

Also, Crest Pro-Health Whitening toothpaste (4.2 oz) is FREE after ECBs.

I got all of these items tonight plus a few other things and only paid about $13 after coupons and ECBs and have over $15 ECBs to use next time.

Need help with CVSing? Go visit Hot Coupon World. There's a wealth of information there for CVS, Walgreens, Publix and a ton of other stores all over the US.

Cypress Gardens $5 Admission

This may be too late for some of you that will read this after tomorrow but Cypress Gardens is having a promotion. Admission Tickets are $5 for everyone Sunday, November 9th, only.

I've never been there and have been wanting to go but even with the tickets at $5, I won't go. I'd go if we could get there when it first opens but it's about 2 hrs drive from us and we have commitments at our church on Sunday mornings.

I wouldn't go because when prices are that low, it's a lot more crowded than normal and makes it difficult to enjoy the park. The Lowry Park here in Tampa had a $2 (I think it was $2) promotion (they do that once a year I think) and we went around noon and the line of cars just waiting to pull into the parking lot covered a few blocks. We headed home. I spoke to a friend the next day that had gone and told me that they were there since the zoo opened and said it was so incredibly crowded by noon. It's great to be able to save money on admission tickets but it's not worth it to me if it's so crowded like that.

I still wanted to post about this in case any of you lived close by and was interested in going for such a great price.

If any of you do go, please let me know how the crowds were.

My Recent Freebies

I got a $10 Amazon.com gift code for completing a survey from Baker St. Solutions yesterday.

I redeemed my Limbo points for a free subscription to Good Housekeeping magazine. This is my second free subscription from Limbo. I got points randomly while playing their games.

Limbo is a site where you play a reverse auction for prizes. It's completely free to play online. You can also play via texting. I have a Tracfone
cellphone so I only play online. I won $75 a few months back so people do win.

I also redeemed my swagbucks for a $5 amazon.com gift code. I'm halfway there to my next $5 amazon.com gift code.

Swagbucks is one of many search and win sites and I posted about it here.

Fun Kid Toys

I just got the Aqua Doodle and Bath Blizzard recently. I've been wanting the Aqua Doodle for my daughter for awhile so I was very happy to get this.

The Aqua Doodle is a great toy that lets your kids draw all they want without the mess of markers and crayons. It also saves paper, too. It's just one mat that they can draw on again and again. You just have to wait for it to dry.

My daughter loved the Aqua Doodle so much. It was the first thing she wanted to do when she woke up the next morning and now she has to draw on it at least once a day.

The Bath Blizzard is pretty awesome, too! All you need is a little bit of the provided bubble bath and water and it will generate an endless supply of bubbles. She loves it and asks to take a bath all the time now. Even twice a day! It was a little noisy but she didn't mind it at all.
The only thing I didn't care for is the way it mounts. It just barely fits over the water spout. I think it would've been better if it had suction cups to mount onto the wall or at least give the option to do that.

If you're looking for a gift idea this year, these would be good ones to add to your choices. :)

Save Money On Oil Changes

Here's an easy way to save money on oil changes - don't change it every 3000 miles.
Seriously, you don't have to change it every 3000 miles. Some of you may already know it, but I didn't until just recently.

I did a search online and found this site: Debunked
This site tells me the my 2002 Honda Civic should have its oil changed every 7500. That's for driving under ideal conditions which I don't drive under. I do a lot of city driving and go through some extreme temperatures. I'll change my oil every 5000 miles from now on.

Custom Labels Recommendation

Are you in a direct sales business such as PartyLite, Southern Living at Home, Home Interiors, etc? I recommend you check out Roteck for your custom labels needs. I was referred to them by a fellow AVON rep and just got my order a few days ago. They came out looking great. They are definitely more professional looking and eye-catching. They are high quality laminated labels.

I bought several different kinds to put on my AVON books and some to put on the products themselves so my customers no where to go to reorder.

There are lots of predesigned labels and there are also those that you can custom design. The prices are pretty good for custom designing them yourself. And the more sheets of labels you buy, the cheaper they are. If you can't find what you like, you can suggest a label idea to them.

Go check out Roteck and if you use the referral code, labels4me, I'll get $2 off my next order.

The New Toothbrush

Don't you just love the innocence of kids and how little things can make them so happy?? My daughter will be 4 in 2 weeks and she's been such fun to listen to and watch.

I just bought her a new Dora the Explorer toothbrush as her current Barbie toothbrush needed to be retired. The other night when she went to go brush her teeth, I told her to see the new toothbrush I just bought her. She stood there looking it at for a few minutes and then looks in the mirror and hugs it (as well as a small toothbrush could be hugged) and says, "I love it!". I couldn't help but laugh and stood there watching her brush her teeth with a smile on my face.

What was even funnier was that the next morning, she wanted to bring her toothbrush downstairs with her while she waited for me to get ready for work. She had so much excitement over a toothbrush!

Laxatives for Kids - and Giveaway

Do you have kids that have a hard time doing number 2? I received samples and coupons from Bzzagent for Pedia-Lax and want to share them with you. Read on to find out how to get 2 samples and 2 $1 off coupons.

Pedia-Lax comes in quick dissolving strips in grape flavor for kids 2 - 11.
Product details according to the site:

  • Natural, overnight relief in 6-12 hours
  • Made with Senna, a natural vegetable-based laxative used for centuries
  • Great tasting grape-flavored quick dissolve strips start to melt instantly on the tongue so kids can't spit them out. Makes it easy to give them the right dose, every time.
  • The first quick dissolving oral laxative strip for kids
  • Kid-friendly, easy-to-dose formula

I have 8 samples and coupons to give away. The first 4 to comment will get 2 samples and 2 coupons. Please leave me your email so that I can contact you for your mailing address.

I haven't tried this yet on my own child just yet because I haven't had a reason to use it on her. Everytime I thought she might need this, she ends up going on her own. :) I've seen my granddad use Fleet's products when I was a kid so I confident these will work great on kids and I love the fact they come in quick dissolving strips. It's a great easy way to get the kids to take it without any struggles.

Have you tried this already? How did it work for you?

Avon's Bubble Bath as Laundry Detergent

I've learned so much about Avon and their products since becoming a rep almost 2 months ago.

One of the neat things is that Avon's Bubble Bath can be used in so many other ways than just as a bubble bath. I just used it to wash a load of laundry tonight. All the clothes came out clean and smelling wonderful. I used the Fresh Lilac scent.

Many reps have used this in place of Woolite for delicates. Others use it to clean jewelry, get grease spots out of clothing, and even hand soap.

Check out the list of uses I hand out with my Avon books here.

Do you have any uses to add to the list? I'd love to hear them.

The Winners

I'm sorry for delay in posting the winners. It's been a very busy week between work, my Avon business, etc.

Anyway, the winners are:
- Donna
- Amy
- Kerri
- Amanda

Congrats! Hope the little girl in your life enjoys the book!!
