Man left dangling upside down, pantsless after Vail lift mishap: The Smoking Gun (thesmokinggun.com) reported that a skier was left dangling upside down and butt naked from a chairlift at the Colorado's ritzy Vail resort.

In a bizarre incident that will surely lead to litigation (or an out-of-court settlement), a skier at Colorado's ritzy Vail resort was left dangling upside down and pantsless from a chairlift last Thursday morning. The January 1 mishap apparently occurred after the male skier, 48, and a child boarded a high-speed lift in Vail's Blue Sky Basin. It appears that the chairlift's fold-down seat was somehow not in the lowered position, which caused the man to partially fall through the resulting gap. His right ski got jammed in the ascending chairlift, and that kept him upended since his boot never dislodged from its binding.

Liskula Cohen, a blond beauty who has modeled for Giorgio Armani and Versace, made headlines last year when a doorman at a Manhattan hot spot was jailed after smashing her in the face with a vodka bottle. Now she wants to force Google to reveal who slammed her online as the "#1 skanky superstar" on a blog hosted by the search engine's subsidiary. The defamation suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, seeks a court order compelling Google and its Blogger.com service to identify whoever led the vicious Internet assault against Cohen. Her lawyer Steven Wagner conceded it's not easy to identify bloggers who lob insults anonymously, as New York courts have generally declined to force them into the light.

Danish police is searching for the alleged gunman that shot two Singaporeans in a restaurant in Copenhagen.

ONE of the two Singaporean men shot in a restaurant in Copenhagen on Monday night had arrived in the Danish city only two days ago to attend a friend's birthday party. The 55-year-old unnamed man was hit in the chest by a Vietnamese man at point blank and is now in a coma and supported by respirator, according to Danish media reports. The other victim, a former Singaporean who is now a Danish citizen, has been identified as Mr Roland Tan, 61, and is believed to be the owner of Restaurant Bali on Kongens Nytorv Square where the shooting took place at about 7 pm on Monday. Mr Tan, described by Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet as 'the most powerful Chinese businessman in Denmark,' was shot in the shoulder. Both men are warded at the Rigshospitalet, guarded round-the-clock by Danish police. Even their family members were not allowed to visit them. Eyewitnesses said the assailant, named by Danish police as Nguyen Phi Hung, 47, walked into Restaurant Bali and shot the two men at point blank. He then fled. Danish police believed the shooting was an assassination attempt on Mr Tan, who is said to have connections with organised crime groups.

Rare pink iguanas confirmed on Galapagos Islands: A team of Ecuadoran and Italian researchers have confirmed the discovery of a unique species of pink land iguanas living on the Galapagos Islands, the scientist who wrote the report told AFP. The pink iguanas can be up to 1.8 meters (6 feet) long as measured from tip to tail, and unlike the other land iguanas does not have a row of spines running up its back.



Washington Tapia, head of research at the Galapagos National Park, said,

It is surprising to have made a find of this magnitude in the 21st century. We have not yet determined the size of the population, but we estimate that it is small because we have only captured 36 pink iguanas for research up to now.
