An update on the Tax Lien. Apparently they cannot locate the information. They will contact us in about 3 weeks. Now, they obviously had the information to file it against her. So how can it not come up now?
During our research, we have found many recommending to contact the reporting Agency and dispute the filing. Also, almost everyone stated the IRS will not remove it until Paid in full and after 7 years from date of payment.
Here is our question. If this is true how can others claim to remove it from the credit reports?
Now, we are off to the Law Library (nest week) to research this further. It’s not set in stone; therefore we might find something to get it removed. Right?

I have managed to stay out of debt due to my business and my hubbies. However, credit is important. I know for a fact that my business would not be able to compete against our larger competitors if it weren’t for the lines of credit our businesses have.
So check it out and blog away! We support you J
Many years ago I called the Credit Agencies. This back in the day when you could get a hold of someone on the phone. I was concerned about others using my information for credit. I was in College and had purchased my first home. When my Lender ran my Credit Report some interesting things appeared. Took care of them and that was that. Per my lenders advice I placed an alert for NO ONE to view my information unless it was verified with me.
Anyhow, life goes on and since sold the home, got married … The End. That was the end of my credit. My husband takes care of all finances. I have by checking accounts and my check cards. Anything I need I simply pay with my Check Card.
Ok, back to the point. I cannot get my credit report online! I have been blocked. I was not able to answer the security questions. LOL
I answered them correctly, however, it appears they have other information. So, here I go waiting for the correspondence to take place via SNAIL MAIL.
Any ideas on how I can get them to Fax me my credit report?

This blog has a life of its own. Sure, I understand how important credit score is to an individual. As I stated previously, I woke up one day to realize I had no Credit History. I do have my own business and a business I run with my husband. Now, all the credit for the Company is under the Corporation. We do not sign any Personal Guarantee.
Alright, so I was talking to a friend about my new blog. OMG… she needs help! She recently received a notice from the IRS, she apparently has had a lien against her for the some time now. At least 3 years. So the questions is, call the IRS or mail them? How can she get this removed? Why wasn’t she informed about this? Why…why…why…
Okay, on Wednesday we will meet and contact the IRS together. This will be great research for me.
Its important to teach our children at a young age Financial Responsibility. Also, my Tweens ever Pre Teens are earning a living by chore, babysitting or even online that you may want to consider opening a Checking Account for their use. Yes, even a Credit Card. I have some sites that I plan on reviewing and placing here for your consideration. Of course I always welcome suggestions.

I have noticed that your Credit Report indeed reflects a lot about you as a person. Just as having a weight issue. I want my life o reflect order and love.
So, on Monday I decided to hit the internet and search for information on how to repair my credit. The biggest question was where do I start. Then HOW and Can this possibly be done. With the current economic state of our Country lenders are being more stringent and it is said that people with 700+ FICO scores will have a hard time getting a loan as well.
Alright, I know I can do this. So I started doing more research and applying for Credit Cards to rebuild your credit. DENIED! Of course they kindly let you down, but nonetheless I was DENIED. I was also surprised to have been denied for a Checking Account with Wells Fargo. I do have two checking accounts in good standing; so that I will have to investigate.
So, I bit about my past credit. I have not had ANY credit cards for 7 years. I have not purchased a car or home, not even a utility bill is under my name. Nothing! I married and all of it is under his name. All bill paid etc… I allowed myself to fall into a comfort zone. Not too long ago, he experienced some financial problems with his company. That total scared me. How can I help if I do not have any credit history? Total SOL…
Well, like I said, this is going to be interesting. I do not want to pay for Attorneys or Credit Agencies removing anything in my credit report that I can possibly do myself.
