Makin The Money

I have some great resolutions for the new year that I hope will help increase my income. I am always looking to try new things and I hope you are to.

My first resolution applies to this blog directly. The last few months I have not done much with this blog and I know that needs to change so I am now going to try to post at least twice a week. I know it’s not much, but I have 3 other blogs, and my forum. I’m also starting the Jewelry business and I’m takeing 5 classes this term. Pretty much I’m busy!

My next resolution is to spend at least 2 hours a day visiting other blog and forums and actually commenting and posting. I use to love to do this and have gotten away from it. It’s a great way to build links and traffic.

The last one is to try guest posting. I have not done this as I don’t believe I have enough experience in most areas to do so, but I think I may try to this year as I have learned a lot and there are a few areas I am knowledgeable in.

Today is the first day of the new year and I want to wish you all a happy new year. I did okay this past December, though January will be much better. Eventually I will be doing a post on what I made all year, but it will take some time to get those numbers together.

I’m sorry I have not posted in a while, I have not been feeling well and keeping up with all of my blogs has been very hard.

If you have a blog and are not getting much traffic you may want to take day or two to look at your old post. I know everyone tells you that you need to update every day, but I have found on a few of my blogs I don’t have to to get traffic as the information on them is something you can use at any time.

What I did do yesterday and today on my Interior Design blog was go back to older post and really look at my tags and keywords for them. I found many that were just silly tags that were not helping me at all and I found a few post that had no tags. Today my visitors jumped to double what I had been getting.

The other thing I did was insert adsence ad’s back into the top area of the blog, This has helped a lot with money and maybe some with traffic as Google had to come check out my site again. Since it seems that right now most people are busy and don’t have much time to look around online it is a good time to take a long look at your blog or even your website and see what it working and what is not. I have to say I’m not happy with Novembers earnings at all, but I have to look at the economy and how that is. Some people online are effected by it, while others are not.

I am usually very careful when looking for a home business online, you do get a lot of people that sell you things that just don’t work. Usually you spend a lot of money and you get nothing, not because it’s anything you did but usually it’s very hard to understand what it is you need to do or the information you bought is just not helpful or is written poorly, because of this I tend to stay away from most of these sites that claim they can give you a home business for any amount of money.

There is one site that is set up a lot like these other home business sites, it’s called Plug-In Profit Site and it interest me because it does offer something for free and it may be information that will help you, though i do suggest you check out the free information before you buy to see if it’s something you may like.

If your looking for a home business I suggest you check out Home Business Ideas a blog that gives you some really good information on home based business. This blog goes into more detail on online programs then I do and they really have some good information for someone just starting out with an online business.

I have decided to go ahead and start a jewelry business with Primer Designs. I’m excited about this and I plan on including what I make with them on my monthly statement. I also do plan on getting around to my November earnings post this week. It’s just been very crazy with everything going on with audits and school. Please forgive me if you’ve been looking for it.

I have found out that this company does require professional fees each year, but that is not a big deal to me as I will also have to pay them as a designer once I’m done with school. I have thought long and hard about doing this like anyone should when starting a business. I think it really will work out.

I really am sad to say that my favorate get paid to site is closeing. They have been a great site and great group of people for a long time and now they are done. I have to say I think the get paid to industry, in that area of it at least is probably done and over with. I still use one site but I have not done much with them in a while. Maybe I’ll start up again just to get my payout.

Things change and we all have to deal with them. I am just very happy that I found blogging before all of this. At one time the get paid to industry was all I had for money. This is why it is very important to have different forms of income, even if you have a real world job. You just never know.

Over the last 2 months I have not been able to put as much time into my blogs, website and other online indevors and I am now hurting for it. If you are new to online money making you really should think about how much time you actually have to put into all of this. Blogging takes a lot of time at first, eventually it’s not too bad, but until you reach at least the year mark plan on haveing to post on each blog you have a few times a day.

I have decided because I just don’t have time right now to get rid of one blog that I just am not able to maintan the way I want to. Most of what I write on it could go on my personal blog and I am planning on adding those post to that blog when I close it.

I have thought about selling it, but it doesn’t get much traffic though it does have pr, but it’s low. I figure it’s not worth much anyway so I’m just letting it go and not starting a new one. Blogging also can be very addicting so if you get started with it take the time it needs and try to control yourself or you’ll end up like me.
