Planning for 2009, the year of the Earth Ox

As I have previously blogged, I just came back to China and there’s still a lot of things I need to catch up with before everything could be placed back to where they belong. That’s what I want to call “normalization.” So, up to now, I’m still working on planning my for the new year. This could have been called New Year’s Resolutions but those, just like promises, are meant to be broken. Hahaha! So, here’s just a few of the things that I want to amend for 2009.

- No more new domain registration this year. Yes, panic blogging did not pay off for me in the past year despite the numerous domain registrations (simply because I can’t put enought content on each one). There’s still a few remaining but I’ll just let them expire while some of the best ones should remain, populated with proper content and incorporated with this blog and the others. I’m currently working on a new layout which would serve as a general theme for all of the domains that will remain.
- Target gadget purchases will be put on hold until next year. After finally having Doraemon, my Dell notebook, I’m still looking forward to having Norencia, a Nikon DSLR. And recently, after having some fun with video editing using Adobe Premiere, I want to have a digital camcorder. But because of the decline of money-making opportunities, plus the looming economy, those two gadgets would have to wait until, maybe, next year. For now, I will have to be contented with my ever-reliable Doraemon. Same for Seiton Sakura, the K790c Sony Ericsson Camphone. Save, save, Ctrl+S.

Tulad nalang ng isang ‘to:

… to send your Christmas presents for Tifa!!!
You can send them in anytime, contact us for our snail mail but if you prepare to use Paypal, who are we to complain. Here’s our paypal account: kotsengkuba(at)gmail.com
Don’t worry, Tifa will receive them for sure
Just a few nights before Christmas, I received two email notifications from PayPal informing me of two successful fund transfers to my account. I thought they were for me but to my bigger surprise, they’re for me but for Tifa. And the senders left their notes so to ensure Tifa will receive the money. HMP!
The fund was then transferred to my bank account (still in USD) and we had to change in to Peso when we went back home. My wife and I had been scouring department stores in Cavite and Manila just so we could buy Tifa she we thought she would want to buy for her money – probably a bike. But to no avail, we could not see one that would fit her age and height. The ones in SM Dasmariñas are either too big or too cheap-looking (ayaw ko naman mapintasan ng mga nagreregalo no, hahaha). Same with the bike stores in Silang Market area and for Christmas’ sake, the department stores in SM San Lazaro are closed on January 1 so I left for Shanghai without buying the bike for Tifa.

This isn’t it, we paid it ourselves dahil di naman kamahalan
Fortunately, when my wife went looking in front of Robinson’s Pala-pala, she found the perfect one in a considerably perfect price (around Php 1,000.00 - ayan abonado pa ko ha. Lols
)
When they came home that day, my wife sent me an SMS. “Mahal,d2 n po kami s bhay. Tuwang tuwa c tifa s bike.
And the evidence…
