Performance Development and Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle : 12

PD (Performance Development):

Performance Development – Traditionally, the superior does Performance Appraisal approach. Whereas a person can develop if he chooses to appraise himself (i.e. Self-Appraisal). The company should provide conductive environment with career growth opportunities such that the employee wants to appraise and develop himself, in being a continuous learner and grow up the career ladder. In the process both the employee and the employer benefits.

PDCA:

The Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle is an adaptation of the Deming Wheel. Where the Deming Wheel stresses the need for constant interaction among research, design, production and sales, the PDCA Cycle asserts that every managerial action can be improved by careful application of the sequence: Plan, Do, Check, Act.
