Lots of Great Shopping!

Happy New Year! January is also a great time to get sheets and bath towels on sale. Some retailers refer to it as a "White Sale". This is when I buy toys for my son's birthday with something he wanted and didn't get or something to add to an item he did receive. His birthday is two weeks after Christmas so this does help with my budget. Let's also hope to another great year of wonderful savings!

Great Christmas Bargains!

Many of the stores have decided to start clearancing out their wares earlier this year than normal. Bath and Body Works is already selling items for up to 75% off online and will start in stores on the 27th. The day after Christmas will be a wonderful time to start stocking up on Christmas gift bags, wrapping paper, bows, greeting cards, and other decorations. Circuit City is also advertising many great discounted items online and in stores. There are several stores completely shutting down all their stores like Mervyn's, Linen 'n Things, and some chains that aren't even in my state. If you want to get a jump on next year's shopping, then now is the perfect time to start. I love buying items all year long on clearance. I can just shop in my gift closet when I need a present.

Black Friday Shopping!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving. There are lots of great deals today on the biggest shopping day of the year. I still like the day after Christmas when everything gets discounted. I still snagged a few great deals like a 32" Sony Bravia LCD HDTV for $498 at Wal-Mart! I just hope it doesn't go out of stock. I was undecided on whether we should buy a HDTV this year or not, but when I saw it for that price then I knew it was time to buy it. I also bought several great movies on Amazon with free shipping. I love that website. I do plan on going to Walgreen's later this morning for the B1G1F Webkinz and then I will hit Wal-Mart to see if anything good is left from the doorbusters. I really wanted a set of those 500 TC cotton sheets for $20. I have a king size bed so this is a really great deal for that size. I might also see what is left of the cheaply priced DVD movies. This is the only time of year we add to our collection. Most of the ones we buy are usually priced $5 or cheaper or $10 or less for a newer release. I try to only buy the movies I know we will watch more than once or my son will watch over and over. Otherwise we are pretty much done with shopping. I hope everyone gets what they want today.

I meant to post about this last week since CVS was having a great sale on Olay products. Click here to print out a $20 Olay rebate. Who doesn't love a good deal these days? Money is tight with the higher cost of gas, food, and even houses. It makes sense to save on costs where you can without giving up quality. I have purchased two pairs for my husband. He loves his frames. We bought him the Titanium Memory frames for $68 which included the cost of shipping. CVS is Sending out Surveys!

If you aren't signed up with CVS to do surveys, then you should register online ASAP! I get online surveys from them time to time. I just did one last night for a $5 ECB. If you didn't qualify, then you still received $2 which isn't too shabby. They are going to print out on October 31st so it does take a long time before you get them. I don't know they wait so long, but it's still free money.

MAIL CALL!!!

I thought this would be a great post to let you know that most of these samples do actually come to my house. I know so many wonder does anyone really get these? I can say yes you do! I have done some samples that I never received. It's a risk you take, but the ones from Wal-Mart and the bigger well known companies always get delivered. It's the ones you never heard of them before that you take more of a chance actually getting them. Over 95% of the ones I post here you will receive. I try to stay away from the other kind. This is what I have received in the last two weeks.
