Tune Money CEO, Tengku Zafrul resign

Hi to all my readers,

I have sad news for all of you, Tune Card holder. Tune Money CEO, Tengku Zafrul has resigned.Acording to Business Times, he stated that his resignation is due to Personal Reason.

When contacted by Business Times yesterday, Tengku Zafrul confirmed he had officially tendered his resignation over the weekend, saying he had done so for "personal reasons".

I am not sure what is the real reason. He talked about Tune Money Online Unit Trust during our last meeting. Maybe it's not going to happen after all. He has done a lot for Tune Money. After this, it's going to be hard for me to forward complaints from Tune Card user to his blog.

Kegemilangannya dilihat terus merudum. Tidak seperti detik bersejarah Perjanjian Bretton Woods pada tahun 1944 yang telah menipu dan memperdaya 44 buah negara supaya bersetuju menyandarkan mata wang kertas negara mereka kepada dolar AS. Tipu daya itu berlangsung menerusi jaminan adikuasa itu bahawa dolarnya adalah bersandarkan kepada emas iaitu sebanyak US$35 bagi setiap auns.

Penipuan terbesar adalah semasa pemerintahan Presiden Nixon yang mana pada tanggal 15 Ogos 1971 secara unileteral telah memungkiri perjanjian Bretton Woods dengan tidak lagi menyandarkan dolarnya kepada emas akibat kemelesetan ekonomi yang disebabkan oleh keperluan pembiayaan Perang Vietnam serta defisit imbangan pembayaran yang berterusan.

Semenjak runtuhnya Perjanjian Bretton Woods, sistem kewangan dunia telah digantikan dengan sistem mata wang apungan di mana nilai mata wang sesebuah negara, dinilaikan pada mata wang negara lain. Kaedah ini mengakibatkan ketidaktentuan turun naik nilai mata wang sekaligus memberi peluang kepada spekulator mata wang mengaut keuntungan atas kerugian negara lain. Richard Duncan, dalam bukunya “The Dollar Crisis,” meramalkan kemungkinan satu krisis ekonomi yang mungkin lebih buruk daripada ‘Great Depression’ seandainya sistem kewangan sekarang diteruskan.

Melihat kepada kekurangan yang ada pada sistem mata wang apungan ini, ramai pakar ekonomi berpendapat bahawa penggunaan dinar emas adalah sangat disyorkan agar digunapakai kembali sebagai alat menyimpan nilai dan perantara pertukaran terutama dalam perdagangan antarabangsa. Langkah ini disyorkan kerana dinar emas terkenal dengan sifat stabil terhadap aktiviti spekulasi dan manipulasi.

Dari segi tabungan, emas lebih stabil berbanding wang kertas kerana nilainya tidak mengalami turun naik yang ekstrem dan tidak merosot akibat inflasi. Dari segi zakat, hukum Islam menetapkan bahawa zakat hanya boleh dibayar dalam bentuk barangan nyata. Dinar emas sangat sesuai berbanding wang kertas kerana wang kertas hanya laku atas jaminan kerajaan yang mengeluarkannya. Sedangkan emas tidak memerlukan mana-mana pihak untuk mengesahkan nilainya kerana ia dengan sendirinya mempunyai nilai.

In 2008, Carl's Jr. introduced its "Fake Restaurant" ad campaign[13]. This new campaign seems to be a departure from past ones in that it does not contain any 'sexual content'. By using actors and props, Carl's Jr. created a formal gourmet burger restaurant to demonstrate via hidden camera that show people enjoying the burgers and the fact they will happily pay $14-16 for a Carl's Jr. Six Dollar Burger, which actually is priced at only around $4.39 plus tax. My prediction on Tunemoney's Online Unit Trust

According to interview with TuneMoney CEO,Tengku Zafrul did give some hint and overview on what will user can expect from Online Unit Trust.



In unit trusts, for example, he said the current practice is forcing higher charges on small investors who put in a small amount. This is because for rich investors who put in millions, even a one per cent fee is lucrative enough. "But when you put RM1,000 or RM5,000 they'll charge you up to seven per cent upfront, which is crazy," he remarked. In its proposal, he said Tune Money plans to charge zero per cent upfront for unit trusts and investors need only to pay the annual management fees. "Right now, the richer you are the lesser you pay. We try to make it standard and lower the threshold, so everyone can invest," he explained.

So as you can see here, Tune Money plan to introduce much more affordable Trust Unit so that everybody can invest.Most importantly everything is online and cheap :). During our lunch, he clearly mentioned that all necessary license and approval are taken care of. So Tune Money Online Unit Trust will be launched this early September 2008.

Before this, travel by flight was expensive now everyone can fly by Air Asia.
Now by this September hopefully, everybody can invest in online unit trust. We can even use our EPF fund to get started.

A unit trust is a collective investment scheme which pools money from many investors who share the same financial objectives. Unit trust is a long term investment vehicles most suited to investors who can tolerate volatile short-term fluctuations in prices in pursuit of potential for long term capital growth which is associated with riskier equity investments. This pool of money is managed by professional fund managers into :

a. Securities of companies listed in Bursa Malaysia
b. Bonds and other fixed interest securities
c. Cash and money market instruments
d. Conform to the Syariah Principles for Mayban Dana Yakin

A unit trust is created out of a deed which constitutes a contractual agreement governing the tripartite relationship between the :

• Manager - often referred to as the management company, which is the promoter of the fund and is responsible for the day to day operations and its overall investment performance.
• Unit holders - are investors of the funds. The ownership of a unit trust is expressed in the form of units. Depending on the amount invested, an investor will be allocated a proportionate share of the fund. The returns, commonly known as distribution are distributed annually or biannually depends on the performance of the funds.
• Trustee - is appointed to act as the custodian for all assets of the fund and to ensure that the manager adheres strictly to the provisions of the Deed.

There are fees and charges involved in buying units and investors are advised to consider these fees and charges before making an investment decision. The price of units and the distribution payable, if any, may go down as well as up. Past performance of the Funds is no indication of their future performance.

The lower the risk, the more stable and predictable the return. The riskier investments are generally associated with higher returns as well as volatilities.

Mayban Unit Trust Fund (MUTF) and Mayban Dana Yakin (MDY) has been more volatile in comparison with Mayban Balanced Trust Fund (MBTF) which is invested in a mixture of assets such as shares, bonds and short-term securities. Mayban Income Trust Fund (MITF) is invested in a diversified portfolio of fixed-interest securities. It is stable and less fluctuations.
