These watches are pretty…

I’d really like to own a few Perpetual Diamonds some time before I kick the bucket, but I know that’s going to have to wait until I’ve gotten my degree at school. When that time comes, though, I know that I’m going to do my shopping over at Perpetual Diamonds. I’ve heard a few good things about them, because some of my friends with more disposable income actually own products that have come from them, and they’ve all attested to their high standards. My own father has even owned one for awhile, as a matter of fact! Wow.

Maybe once I’m a nurse, I can buy myself a Rolex watch from these people. These people truly care about the products that they sell, and it is one of their goals to educate those who are interested in buying products from them about the history behind Rolex watches. They also let them know about their collectible value, and I think that anyone who stands behind their products that much is definitely someone who’s worth looking at. You can generally spot a Rolex watch on someone’s wrist from a mile away, so to say, and they are some of the most acclaimed watches that are out on today’s market. I can see why! :)

Even better is the fact that Rolex watches last for generations! So, by getting one, you can pass it down from generation to generation without having to worry about whether or not it’s going to last. Maybe Jason can inherit his grandfather’s watch once that time comes, because I know he’ll wear it with pride. And none of us will have to worry about it.

Jason’s getting a little picky.

For the past week or so now, Jason’s started to get a little bit pickier when it comes to the foods that he’ll accept. But I’ve been standing my ground with him, and although I have been giving him somewhat varied choices in the food that I serve to him, I’ve made headway in getting him to eat something nutritious in spite of his pickiness. He seems to like foods that he can easily feed himself, or foods that can easily be manipulated onto his utensils. And for some reason, he’s been trying to stay away from soups and stews. But I continue to offer them to him, and he’s kind of… I don’t quite know how to word it, other than accepting the foods that I make for him without too much of a problem. I’m happy…

I know that kids go through stages like this from time to time, so I’m not incredibly overbearing when it comes to making him eat his meals. If he doesn’t like something, I substitute it for something that’s just as nutritious… maybe it looks a little different, or it tastes a little different, but it gives him just about the same nutrition. And if he’s not hungry at that precise time, I just put it in the fridge and offer it to him a little later.

For those who like to garden…

Logo Have any of you guys heard about the Project Orange Thumb grant? For someone whose interests are as green as I am, I knew that this would be something that I would be interested in as soon as I started reading about it. This grant is great for those who need the funding and the tools to begin a garden, or to make their gardens brighter and greater. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was funding allocated for manners such as these, and think that funding that goes towards assisting gardens and helping out our environment is phenomenal! I’ve been wanting to start up my very own garden for a little while now, but either the weather has put a crimp into my plans or something’s come up that’s needed a little more of my time. :(

If any of you are into gardens and think that your garden might be assisted from funding like this, you should look into applying for one of these awesome grants! The deadline for applications is February 17th, which gives you a little bit of time to prepare your applications. If any of you are in a gardening club of any sort, I strongly advise that you check out this grant and try to get one! Project Orange Thumb has, to date, provided over a hundred lucky groups in communities all over the country with over $300,000 to create and maintain community gardens. Isn’t this great? It really helps the environment!

When I took this, it was almost like he was letting me take it because he knew that I wanted another recent picture of him and he was allowing me to. He was so cute then! Not to say that he’s not cute now, of course he is… but he’s just as cute in his older pictures as he is in the newer ones that I take, so it’s no wonder that I take so many!

Are you looking for a vacation?

Hiltonsocial-ad-300x400 Like I know I’ve said in the past, I am admittedly a bit of a fan of the Hiltons. That can be attributed to being a fan of Paris’ music and the show that she did on MTV, both of which against my better judgment suckered me in. I don’t know what it is that draws me to the appeal of such things like the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel, but these are definitely things I’d like to visit…

These attractions appeal to me more than anything else that can be found in the area, and I’d like to go visit them as soon as I’m able to. Maybe we could arrange to do something in the summer, when the weather’s much warmer and there are many more things to do? We’ll see. I know that it could easily be turned into an educational and fun experience for my son, too. If any of you are looking into taking a fun vacation sometime soon, you guys should seriously consider checking out the nice Winter Escape Package that they’re offering on their site! Taking my son to a place like this and teaching him about the story behind it, and letting him know about the Hilton legacy itself, would be a great backdrop for getting my son interested in things that would help him out when he starts school. Getting him interested in things early on is always nice!
