New Years Graphic Comments

The last three months of 2008 was truly a roller coaster for me. After God’s blessing of a baby boy, my schedule turned 360 degrees. As we all know, newborn baby is the one who’s holding your schedule. It will take time before you were able to establish routine for them - a routine that works best for you & your baby. Part of my New Year’s Resolutions

Part of my New Year’s Resolution is to organize our hard copy pictures. Well, last year all the hard copy pictures are nowphoto-albums still in my picture box.  2008 passed & I wasn’t able to organize the family’s photo album. Funny but it was just the 4th quarter of 2008 that I took time to think of on how our hard copy pictures will be organized. Read the rest of this entry »

Thinking of New Car for 2009?

If you’re thinking of having a new car for the New Year, well insurance is definitely a must-thing to consider.

Honestly, I’m one of those people who always have doubt in insurance. I don’t good experience with regards to this matter during the days I needed it most when I was in the Philippines. Even the benefits I supposed to experience from the taxes I paid in such government. Now that we moved here in USA, even my cellphone - Blackberry has insurance. Read the rest of this entry »

Iraqi Dirty Shoes for Bush

I was shocked when I saw this in TV News the other day. An Iraqi journalist threw dirty shoes to President Bush during a press conference in Baghdad last Sunday.

The shoe-thrower is Muntadhar al-Zaidi, an Iraqi journalist with Egypt-based al-Baghdadia television network and was heard yelling in Arabic: “This is a farewell … you dog!” He also shouted in Arabic: “This is for all Iraqis who were killed by the Americans!”

Holiday Fever

Christmas is just around the corner and surely it’s not just me whose feeling it. Especially now that Arizona is having a winter storm, so the cold weather & Christmas songs truly bring on the spirit of holiday. In season like this, it’s just hard to wake up in the morning, hit that shower and start the day. The cold weather just pushes you to stay longer in bed & just gets warm with your soft blanket, isn’t it?

Am I Safe?

When I transferred here in USA last October 2007, I was amazed on learning those houses (or even some buildings) here are made up of stucco. Well in the Philippines, I got used on the idea of being comfortable & safe on houses made up of cement. Then I stayed in the Middle East for 2 years, again I felt safer in flat that’s made up of stick cement.

Now that we moved here, I was kinda uncomfortable on staying in a house knowing that it’s just made of stucco. Read the rest of this entry »

Stores Closing

We spent our Thanksgiving in Las Vegas and of course I’m most looking forward on the after-thanksgiving-sale.  Shopping is great during this season but checking some familiar stores in Las Vegas with “Going Out Business” was kinda sad. Honestly, I felt sadness for a bit when I saw that sign. Just think of the people who’s just depending on that job & now they need to look for a new company to work with. Sad because I always have preferred brands available on those stores.

Anyway, one thing also I learned during my early stay here in US is that people are very comfortable on giving gift cards. When I got married, we received a lot of gift cards & I truly enjoyed spending it. We were able to turn out those cards on the items we really like/need. That also made me realized to better give a gift cards to friends & relatives especially in holiday season. Read the rest of this entry »

My Fabulous Moment

My friends who knew my “real” personality are really amazed on how I handle my current situation - full time homemaker.

I truly enjoyed my single life that there was a point I gave a word that I’m happy of being single & I’m not dreaming of getting married like what other girls do. It was a time when I am so independent, actively enjoying my social life with three other fabulous girl friends & blessed with a wonderful daughter. But like what they always say, you’ll never Read the rest of this entry »

Another Confession

I have to confess this another weird thing of mine and maybe some of you there are in the same boat like me.

This is it - Even in summer time, I still take a bath with a heater. Need to warm the water a bit then hit up the shower. Unlike others, they want the coolest temperature of the water in summer time and that thing never work on me. Now that winter is approaching I never step into bath tub until I got the right water temperature. Weird, huh?! Read the rest of this entry »

After final interview, what now?

After those numerous questions of the Emirates recruiters in the final interview stage, they will explain to you on the next procedures that will happen. They will tell you certain time frame on when are you going to receive the email that denotes that you passed the final interview stage & will proceed in medical examination. That email will also include some documents you need to accomplish upon entering to the family of Emirates. It will include your temporary joining date - the date of your flight in Dubai.

Sounds easy? But this includes a very anxious waiting period. So what will you do? Read the rest of this entry »
