Former host of TRL and tv personality, Carson Daly, is going to be a daddy.
Daly publicist Heather Lylis says the 35-year-old TV personality and girlfriend Siri Pinter are expecting a child.
It will be the first child for both the “Last Call with Carson Daly“ host and Pinter, who has worked as an assistant on the show. Lylis didn’t provide additional details Tuesday of the pregnancy, which was first reported by People magazine.

Irving Brecher (January 17, 1914, New York City - November 17, 2008, Los Angeles) enjoyed early success as a screenwriter; he was the only writer to get sole credit on a Marx Brothers film including At the Circus in 1939 and Go West in 1940. Co-writing the Judy Garland musical “Meet Me in St. Louis” and creating the radio and TV series “The Life of Riley,” He was also one of the numerous uncredited writers on the screenplay of 1939’s The Wizard of Oz.
Some of his other screenplays were Ziegfeld Follies (1946), Shadow of the Thin Man (1941), and Bye Bye Birdie (1963).
Brecher became the program’s only writer when Milton Berle was signed by CBS in 1936 to do a radio program, “The Gillette Original Community Sing,”
He wrote and directed Sail A Crooked Ship starring Ernie Kovacs and a young Robert Wagner. Another of Brecher’s directing credits is the 1952 Betty Hutton musical “Somebody Loves Me”
Brecher was preceded in death by his first wife, Eve Bennett; and his two children, Joanna Giallelis and Keon Brecher.
In addition to Norma, his wife of 25 years, he is survived by his stepchildren Jane Ulman, Ellen Zoschak and Michael Waxenberg; and eight grandchildren.

Simon Cowell has confirmed rumors that Britney will appear on his UK talent show X Factor. Britney is set to perform songs from her upcoming album at the end of the month. Simon said “I’m really excited about it, because she has got her act together and the new record is terrific. She has come back from a very dark place and is a terrific artist.”

Porn film director Gerard Damiano passed away in Miami on October 25, aged 80.
Deep Throat was the first adult film to cross over into mainstream theaters and has been credited in launching that type of film. The movie was made in six days with a budget around $25,000 in 1972 but it made an estimated profit of $382 million.
The films title was used to describe an FBI official, W. Mark Felt, in the whole President Nixon scandal.
After “Deep Throat” opened in Times Square, attention from media critics and outraged conservatives — including repeated legal challenges — helped turn it into a hit film, and then more people wanted to see it.
Gerard Damiano is survived by his son and daughter.

Russell Crowe is to play the Sheriff of Nottingham in Ridley Scott’s upcoming interpretation of Robin Hood but now he’s playing Robin Hood… also.
“‘Nottingham’ is the ‘Gladiator’ version of Robin Hood,” super-producer Brian Grazer told MTV News about the upcoming twisted tale from the “American Gangster” tag team. “I think it will have the same propulsion that ‘Gladiator’ had - the same adrenaline hits.”
Told from the Sheriff’s point of view, the new movie centers around a familiar - yet very different - set of characters, director Ridley Scott said, revealing that his story begins when a legend first walks into history.
The Sheriff, then, strives to do right while caught in the middle of two wrongs – on one side a corrupt and unpopular King who orders him to arrest outlaws, on the other the outlaw himself who threatens to rouse the public in popular anarchy.
“[Caught between] the minority of haves and the majority of have nots,” Scott said.
Crowe shared his side of story, saying that the movie is “one of those things where we’re taking our time with. You don’t want to be doing Robin Hood unless you’re going to be doing it really f*cking well. It’s got to be the best one ever done otherwise you should do something else.”
Although other details are kept for efficiency, Scott said that the dual roles would be “a good old clever adjustment of characters. One becomes the other. It changes.”

Sean Penn was so excited he had experienced his first same-sex kiss with MILK co-star James Franco - he immediately texted gay icon Madonna to boast.
Penn stars alongside Franco in the forthcoming biopic of San Francisco’s first gay Mayor Harvey Milk, in which the pair play lovers.
And after wrapping their first gay smooch scene, Penn wanted to tell his ex-wife Madonna about his risque antics.
Franco tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “After our kiss, Sean texted Madonna and said, ‘I just popped my cherry kissing a guy. I thought of you. I don’t know why’.”

Heather Locklear, 47, was arrested Saturday night in Santa Barbara.
The California Highway Patrol found Locklear’s car parked on a state highway and blocking a lane. Law enforcement officers say alcohol was not involved.
Locklear was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication. It has only been just two months after leaving an Arizona rehab center while battling anxiety and depression.
She was later released without having to post bail.

Hollywood screen legend Paul Newman has passed away last Friday after a long battle with cancer. He was 83.
Newman was best known for landmark leading roles in classics like Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Cool Hand Luke, The Verdict, The Hustler, The Sting and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
He has won one Oscar and also received two honorary ones, and had key roles in more than 50 films.
Newman had his own line of salad dressings and soon added spaghetti sauces, popcorn and other food products, went on to earn profits approximating $200 million. All the proceeds were donated to charities.
Newman is survived by his wife, Joanne, and five children: Susan, Stephanie, Elinor, Melissa, Clea. A son, Scott, died in 1978 of a drug overdose.

Big-band singer Connie Haines, who performed with Frank Sinatra and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra in the 1940s, has died. She was 87.
Haines died on Monday of a neuromuscular disease, according to Unity Church of Clearwater, Florida.
Haines was born Yvonne Marie Antoinette JaMais 20 January 1921 in Savannah, Georgia. She started singing when she was five.
As a teenager, she teamed with Sinatra on Oh, Look at Me Now, Snootie Little Cutie and You Might Have Belonged to Another with the Dorsey band.
Haines also made movies, appearing in The Duchess of Idaho in 1950. In the mid-1940s, she toured with comedians Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. She also performed for presidents Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred JaMais, who is 109; a son, Robert DeHaven Jr. of San Francisco; a daughter, Kimberly Harlan of Prineville, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
