The Last Week of 2008 (continued)

Tuesday I had to work so I couldn’t be home when the AT & T tech came to fix my U-verse again. Oh I don’t think I told you all with everything that was going on my U-verse went out again. I asked my son to come over and wait for the tech. All day at work all I could think about was the waterbed; I decided to leave work a little early. When I got home my son was waiting and to my surprise my son had drained the waterbed. He said the tech had also came and told him the reason my U-verse was out was because the power was out for my U-verse and when Consumers got the power back on my U-verse would come back on.

I asked my son if the power was back on at my mother’s house and he said no. Then I asked why he didn’t bring my mother over here? He told me he asked her if she wanted to come with him and she said no. So I called her and asked why she didn’t want to come over? She said it’s not that cold here I didn’t believe her, I told her to pack some stuff and I’ll be over to get her. I didn’t want her getting sick. She had lung cancer and part of her left lung removed. She also had a stroke after her surgery and sometimes she doesn’t think clearly.

It wasn’t long after my mother got to my house that I remembered how much fun it was to live with her. You know I’m kidding right. So now I had to house guests my son and mother. Smokey and Tiger didn’t know what was going on. Someone was in their mommy’s bed. Because I’m a good daughter I let my mother sleep in my bed and I slept on the waterbed with an air mattress in it. My son went back to my mothers to sleep. All I can say is it was the longest 48 hour I have spent in a long time. Her power came on around 2:00 on Thursday. So after letting her house warm up again I took her home. She was ready to leave and I was ready to take her home.

The Last Week of 2008

Well this is how my last week of 2008 went. On Sunday I was going to change the sheets on the waterbed. When I started to pull the sheets off the bed I noticed water stains on the sheets so I decided to wait to change the sheets because I really didn’t want to deal with this right now.

Monday I went to work and after work I took my mother to the grocery store. When we got back to her house we found my son (who lives with my mother) at the top of the stairs telling us that the power is out. Thinking that the power would only be off for a few hours we put mom’s grocery away and started a fire in the fireplace. Then I went home.

When I got home I thought I should find out if the waterbed was leaking. When I went to pull back the mattress back to see if I could find the leak I found a 4 inch crack in the mattress. And when I pulled the mattress back the crack open and water was going everywhere. As some of you know I live alone so I had no one to help me. I run to get some towels, by time I got back I had a mess. Maybe I should have got the video camera so I could send the tape to Funnies Home Video. Well I had this exercise bean so I pulled the mattress back so I could wedge the bean between the frame and the mattress. Then I clean up some or the water and then I went to get the hose and the draining tools. After trying for an hour or so I gave up and went to call my son for help. He came over but for some reason we just couldn’t get the bed to drain. So we had the bean in place so the bed wasn’t leaking anymore so we decided to wait till tomorrow (Tuesday) to figure this out.

Great Find

We hope that everyone had a great New Year and got everything they wanted for Christmas. While doing on line shopping for Smokey and Tiger I found a great site. It’s www.shopwiki.com this web site give you the different stores that carry the produces that your looking for. For me it cat stuff, mostly toys for my boys because they love to play.

I found this site has the best selection and prices. I’ve been looking for a litter box that Smokey and Tiger can’t throw the litter all over. I don’t understand why they have to do that. I think I might try a covered litter box. I was also looking for a harness so maybe in the spring I can take Smokey and Tiger out side. I’m able to find everything I could ever want for my boys at www.shopwiki.com it is one of the best sites I’ve found yet.

We are so glad this year is over, and we're hopping 2009 will bring happiness to all and new jobs for all my old co workers.

Holiday Stress

If its not problems with my internet it’s trouble with E-card. After the holiday stress I’m in need of some good weight loss pills. I know it’s not the best way to lose weight but it the only way that works for me. I really want to lose 40 to 50 lbs. That’s going to be one my New Year resolutions. I’ve seen other bloggers do it so I think I can too. My daughter said that I should put Smokey and Tiger on a diet too. I think their just fine.

U-verse Trouble

Sorry we haven't been around the last few days. Mommy's been having trouble with her U-verse, we're thinking this wasn't the best buy, she's had no phone since Tuesday and then the Internet went out Christmas day. Boy was she mad, she couldn't do her E-card drops and we know how she loves to do her drops and visit all your blogs. We tried jumping up on her lap for pets and hugs; we think it helped a little.

The U-verse tech was coming Friday but Thursday night mommy’s daddy called and to mommies surprise the phone worked. Mommy made a few calls that she couldn’t with the phone was out. She also called the AT&T services center and cancelled the tech for Friday. After all that, mommy went to make another call and guess what????? The phone had no dial tone, and now the inter net wasn’t working either. So to make a long story short mommy had to call the service center again and start all over. Finally to night the tech came and fixed everything. He told mommy she wouldn’t have any more trouble. We sure hope he’s right.

We’re so happy that everything fixed.

We want to wish all our visiters a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. We pray that this new year will bring everyone a better life than last year. God Bless all.

Snow Day

After a 1½ hour drive home this is what I found. There was no way I could get in the drive so I parked in my neighbors drive. That my car to the left. My neighbor is retired and I was so glad he had his drive shoveled. I went and knocked on their door to ask if it was okay if I parked there till I got enough of my drive done to fit my car, but no one came to answer the door so I decided to hurry and shovel my drive before one of the neighbors came home. I didn’t want to be in the way. It took me 45 minutes to get enough snow shoveled to fit my car there. And it took another 2 hours to get the hold driveway shoveled. I didn’t measure but I know the snow was at least 12 inches deep and deeper where it had drifted. Did I ever tell you how much I hate snow?

Fridays Drive To Work

I’m so glad I went to bed early last night because this morning with I woke (at 4:30 a.m.) it hadn’t started to snow yet. So I’m thinking I should hurry and get ready for work maybe I could beat the snow. So I went and took my shower, got dressed, dried my hair, when I went to open the shades so my boys (Smokey and Tiger) can sit in the window and watch the snow and what ever is out there to watch. To my surprise there was already 3 inches of snow in the driveway. It was a wet snow; I really hate to drive on the snow before I shovel the drive so before leaving for work I shoveled the drive.

The drive to work was long and slow. I have a 25 miles drive to work which takes about 45 minutes on a good day. Today it took over 1 hour and I had to stop 3 times to clean the wipers off because the snow would get caked on and than you couldn’t see where you were driving. When I got to work I was so thankful I made it and I was safe.

Thursday and I'm Beat

It’s Thursday and all I can think about is getting some sleep. It seems this happens every week, by Thursday I’m so burned out. There’s a big snow storm on the way, so tomorrow is going to be one of the worst drives to work all winter. The news is saying we’re going to have 2 to 10 inches of snow. I really hate the snow, when I retire I really want to move somewhere it doesn’t snow. I was thinking about Nevada but I heard today that it snow in Vegas. I would really be upset if I was on vacation there. It’s really cold here and I think Tiger and Smokey are waiting for me so I’m going to close for now and go join my boys in our nice warm bed. Sorry 4 Not Posting

Guess mommies been feeling down in the dumps, what ever that means. Too many things happening, Christmas is coming and the economy is so bad here in Michigan, we think mommies just worried about all the people out of work. Now she’s worrying about her son and daughter, both of them work for GM and Joe (mommy’s son) will lose his job sometime in February and Christie (mommy’s daughter) transferred to Indiana with her husband (both work for GM) to work at the truck plant in Fort Wayne, and we all know that trucks aren’t selling. Well really there’s not much of anything selling. And then mommy's not sure how much longer she'll be working. It's really making mommy feel bad, fat and ugley. Mommy's looking for a diet pill that really works. She said maybe if she could lose some weight she might feel better about herself.

America’s Funnies Home Videos just came on maybe that will make mommy laugh, we hope so because we don’t like see mommy so down. Well we’re going to go watch AFV with mommy maybe we can cheer her up.

I'm So Ready

I need of a vacation; the last two months at work has been the worst. First losing all my co-workers September 30 and then there were 8. Then the next month we lost 2 more to the department in Flint. Halloween the company let our boss go, then last week we lost 2 more one went to GM, he still works for our company but he’s on site. The other person was laid off. Now we’re down to only 4 people. Working like this is very stressful, not knowing what the next day will bring. A Vegas vacations would do me a lot of good, to just be able to play and eat and not worry about what’ going to happen when I get back home. And not snow to shovel, right now there's a snow storm happening outside. I hate the snow and cold.

Happy Birthday To My Son

Today is my son's 39th birthday; I just can't believe he's going to be 40 next year. I bought him a Raffle ticket from the Michigan Lottery he could win 1 million dollars I hope he does. He started working in August at the Orion Plant and now it looks like he will be laid off in January, Happy New Year. Everyone in my family is going to be hit by the trouble GM's having. I’m going to lose my job around the same time my son does. The company I work for does graphic for Chrysler. My daughter and son in-law both work for GM too. All we can do is pray that thing work out.

I Need Help LOL

I've been wondering why my wrist and fingers are sore. Well here are the EC drops I did for the last 30 days. This could be why my wrist and fingers hurt. I think I have a problem; I can't seem to stop dropping. I've even got up after going to bed because I've forgot to finish my drops. That bad right? I’m thing about getting one those magnetic bracelets used for pain. I have to do something because I just can’t stop dropping.

Research Replacements

I have a lot of friends that have total knee replacement. My mother and sister had both of their knees replaced. Both have come through the surgeries great. I’m not sure if after the surgeries the doctors used pain pump to control the pain. I’m hearing now that there could be bad side so before you have knee or shoulder replacement please do your research.
