Nice and warm
The weather here over the last few days has been nice. The boys and I have been outside a lot playing and enjoying the sun. But today, WOW, the temperature must have dropped 30 degrees, it is cold today!! I looked at the thermometer and it was 28F so I decided it was time for a nice warm fire. We have a really nice fireplace in our house and so I got all the wood together and started it up. Before my husband left he bought a RIK of wood to keep us going throught the winter and it is really coming in handy. I got the fire up and going and was able to turn down the heater to save on electricity. I spent most of my day in front of it because there is just something about being close to a nice warm fire on a cold day. Anyway, I hope your day went well. God Bless.
A magnetizing time!
If you have children, then you know how much they enjoy playing with toys. To watch their imaginations run wild as they try to build things or pretend they are a race car driver while they run the toy cars on the floor is unforgettable. My two boys have several sets of MEGA blocks and they are always on the floor trying to build towers and other sorts of things. Some people think that toys are meant to just keep the kids occupied so that they do not bother them while they take care of the chores. But that is not the case, toys help to develop their reasoning skills and encourage them to use their minds. Well, MEGA has come out with a new set of building sets that use magnets and I have to say that they are some what fascinating even for me. They have this new magnet building set that is a roller coaster and I just know that my boys will like it. Now, obviously these sets are not designed for kids who are still in the toy "tasting" phase because they pose a choking hazard and MEGA has put recommended ages on all of their products. I am kind of jealous because I never had fancy toys like this when I was growing up! If your looking to get some new toys for your kids then check out this new line that MEGA has come out with. I am sure you will enjoy watching them play with them as they try to build new things with them.
Locked door
As a mother, it just breaks my heart to see my children cry when they get hurt or scared as I am sure is the same with you if you have kids. Well, I was sitting on the couch watching TV when I heard my youngest start crying. You really don't think much about it right away if it is just a general cry, so I told him to come into the living room and tell me what happened. He kept crying but he was not coming so I got up to see what was wrong. Their bedroom door was closed with him inside and as I tried to enter I realized that the door was locked from inside. I heard him continue to cry as he tried to open the door. I was attempting to calm him down and tell him how to unlock the door to no avail. He started to cry harder as I attempted to get the door open because we do not have keys for the bedroom doors. So, now he was really screaming, my other son was crying because his brother was scared and I was getting nervous because I could not get the door opened. After 30 minutes I called my husband to see what I needed to do to open the door. He told me not to worry about any damage and just to bust it down. Luckily I was able to bust the door open and get him out so I could comfort him and all he kept saying was "I scared mommy, I scared". It broke my heart to see him so frightened and crying! Thankfully it was just a locked door. I don't have to worry anymore because I damaged the door knob getting in and now it will not lock, HA, take that door knob! :)

Trip to Missouri
My father in-law called me this morning and invited me to have breakfast with them at the restaurant. So, they came to our house and leave their car and we use our van and I was the one driving. After our breakfast, my mother in-law said that we will go to Missouri to buy some foods or can goods, they usually go there every 3 months and buy some can goods for a very reasonable price. My father in-law said I will be the one to drive going there so that I have a good practice of driving. Oh boy, at first I was hesitant to drive simply because I am still a beginner (Learner) and it is a long drive especially my passengers are my children and my in-laws but my in-laws are confident enough that I can make it. Well, on the way there, I was scared especially the police car was behind me, I was scared to be honest! After a couple of miles finally the police car turned to right and I was comfortable enough to drive. I was enjoying until I saw the signed saying "Welcome to Missouri".
Wow! I can't believe that I was the one driving our van. We are all tired from our long trip but we have a family bonding together. Praise God we came home safe and sound.
