Music Monday #4 >> *NSYNC - Bye Bye Bye

Last week, a dear friend of mine, Debbs told me that she loves an old boy band called BoyZone. I easily drifted to the old days where all boys want to be in the boy band and all girls want to date one. Some of my high school friends even have scrap books with the pictures of their favorite band. We They even brought posters and cassettes (a few already ventured to CDs and using CD player instead of walkman, no not the Sony Ericsson handphone) to the school and during the recess they will comparing with each others. The session usually ends up with a fight as jealousy is high in the air; a few posters were ‘accidently’ torn apart.

What about me? Well, I think the most enjoyable boyband ever is *NSYNC. Their lyrics are catchy, their songs are club friendly and their dance is amazing. Since today is the first start of December and the end of November, my choice for Music Monday this time is Bye Bye Bye. Good bye November, I have so much fun this month! This also means that the end of 2008 is coming. I should start checking out my year resolutions!

Flickr | This is not me

I am sorry for not updating Hot Shit Form Here for these last couple of days. I am having a flu and consistent crunching-my-stomach cough. I am sure if these conditions continue for a few more days, I will have a six-pack and a rocker voice; Kid Rock, not Jonas Brothers.

So, now with my *ehem* Jonas Brothers’ voice, let me tell you guys a story of my life. First of all, for those who haven’t yet known me, I am a young future engineer in his early twenty. I believed that I was destined to do something bigger in my life, that the future is waiting for me to be step on, confidently guided with lots of visions. Aren’t we all feel that why?

Having a very open minded family is what defined my life. Of course, the journey of life itself helps me a lot. This all become is a blessing and for some, a curse for me. Since from the high school, I was always the one who doesn’t know much about my Malay root. Along that line, some even assumed that my religious knowledge is less than perfect since my lack of exposure in my own root.

Truth to be told, I was qualified to be a religious teacher! Yeah, I couldn’t believe it either. Anyway, what I am trying to say is, even I don’t write in Malay language in my blog, it doesn’t mean that I am less Malay compared to others. A language is nothing but a medium of expressing oneself, no matter what language you are using, we have only one objective; to convey our message to others. And if you do understand what I am trying to say to you right now, I don’t think it is a problem.

Anyhow, what do you think? Do you feel language is defining your root too? If not, what are other things that will define it?

Less Word Wednesday #11 >> The Perfect Girl for Kyle XY

Have you watched Kyle XY? Yup, the experimented boy that has no belly button. However, he is not alone (without the belly button)! One of the Victoria Secret's angels (love all of them) has also strangely smooth tummy. This uproars surfaced again as the Czech supermodel, Karolina Kurkova strutted her stuff on the runway in Miami two weeks ago. You could even see an indentation where the center "button" should have been.

Kyle XY the TV show

Unfortunately for us, before we could even making a rumor that she is an alien (who else is alien?) or she somehow is the mind behind the Kyle XY the TV series (who else could think off this kind of story?), there is an explanation of the beauty missing belly button:

"She had an operation when she was an infant," her rep told the Daily News. "It's a fact and just thank God she's healthy."

And don't be fooled by the glossy magazine spread: though the voluptuous blond seems to have a perfect button in the pages of magazines and catalogs, industry sources have revealed that is usually the result of photo retouching. So what belly button condition could baby Kurkova have had? Doctors say it was likely that she may have had an umbilical hernia as a child which can distort the belly button.
