JJCM :- Outback Steakhouse, Bangsar Village I

On New Years Day, Sara and I had our wedding planning retreat where we sat down and planned a few wedding items we needed to decide on. We also decided to go to Bangsar Village I, where she had to get a few items for her upcoming overseas trip. Where to eat? We had eaten at Outback Steakhouse in Sydney, so we decided to give the KL Branch a chance, however we were disappointing.

We ordered the Aussie Cheese Fries, A half plate of Buffalo wings and a Pepper Steak bites. The wings was small and didn’t taste all that nice. The fries was ok, but could have been cut thicker the Pepper steak was the only saving point. The staff were not that responsive, but we were the first customers of the day,  and it was just turning 12pm. All in all, if you were gonna spend the money, go to either Chillies, TGIF or Tony Romas for a better chain restaurant experience.

JJCM :- Madras New Woodlands Vegetarian Restaurant, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur

Madras New WoodlandsVIP Mealrandom vegetables

On the last day of 2008, the guys who didn’t take leave decided to have some vegetarian food as our year end meal together. We crossed 1 Sentral and found a nice little place called Madran New Woodlands, a branch of this famous chain having outlets in Bangsar, Brickfields, Singapore and as far away as Australia. We didn’t really know it was pure vegetarian as we asked them for Fish and Egg, much to the waiters dissapointment who thought we were making fun at him. Finally we got the orders all settled and our food came. I ordered the VIP meal, which is basicly a little of everything for Rm10. I thought the food was quite nice, and not having meat once in a while could hardly be bad for me. I also drank a mango lassi for RM4.00. The guys ordered different things from the Madras set meal costing RM7.50 and Chinese Fried Rice for RM6.00.

Not a bad place, didn’t cost us that much and I will definately return. My Rating 7.3 / 10.0

A Christmas Carol a Review

Tickets to A Christmas CarolSara @ KLPACSara & Cast Members

On the Last Performance of the Christmas Carol @ KLPAC, Sara and I decided to attend to catch something Christmasy at the year draws to and end, and to see her co-worker at play, performing in the play. I had bought the tickets via phone a week ago and was really looking forward to seing it, as I had read great reviews on newspapers. I was not dissapointed. For a Malaysian production, with mostly local actors, it was quite good. The singing was very very good, but the lines of some of the actors was very hard to understand, especially with thier thick Malay or Chinese accents trying to speak like an Englishman. Overall, I had a blast. Bravo.
