A Request
My son told me, “Mommy please buy me Ferrari parts for my car”. I said what? Since when that you have that kind of car? Oh I just forgot that he has a matchbox of Ferrari. I apologize for that one. He lost one of the tire of the toy and he was thinking that I can buy some spare tires of it. I just told my son that we will buy him a new one because we can’t replace the lost tire.
Militia Booties

I was looking for a pair of boots every where in exchange of my old one. My old one is already worn out. It has damaged on each side more look like a slash. I always love wearing it because it’s comfy high-cut boots. I bought it one year ago in a Chinese store. It’s not branded but I was fascinated with the style and texture. I still wear it despite of the fact. It’s not obvious if people don’t look at it closely. Hubby keep on complaining why I’m still wearing it. I told him, I like wearing it and I can’t find any replacement for it. I came up thinking to search online when I saw an affiliate banner link of a blogger. I saw a pair of boots on the banner so I clicked it. Wow! One pair look very pleasing to my eyes. The online store is located in the US. I will not name it since they didn’t accept my affiliate application lol. I didn’t hesitate to order the pair of boots style is called Militia and the brand name is called Naughty Monkey. Such a cute brand isn’t it? Seven days before Christmas I received the package. I’m so tense because I’m not sure with the size. I ordered the size 6. I’m not even sure if I will like it. It’s my first time buying footwear online. When I opened it, wow! Oh how I love the design of the boots. The only problem was it has a quite long high-heels. Oh man..I didn’t pay attention to the length of the heels. It has 3.2 inches heels. Can’t use it for long walking. I paid $142.99 including the shipping. It’s nice that the store accept payment from Paypal.
The booties is made of leather and really has a good quality. It really looks fabulous. My problem is the high-heels. I’m thinking to have it cut in a shoe repair store and reduce up to two inches or maybe resell it in my eBay store. What do you think? It’s supposed to be a gift for myself but I want it comfy for long walking.
Dead Nail
Don’t think this is the new nail polish latest trend because it’s not. Too bad and I know you know how does it feel if one of your toes is being hit by some hard things with a quite strong force. Gosh it was so painful that you can’t stop yourself from crying. That’s what happen to me while I’m watching tv one month ago. My nail looks awful now and I need to keep it cover with colored nail polish. I don’t have any idea how many months to wait before I can get rid of this. This is the first ever worst thing happened to my toenail.
The 6 Biggest Skin-Care Mistakes
If there’s one thing stress to the skin patients, it’s that great skin doesn’t require spending a fortune on some “miracle cream” made from rare seaweed from the Arctic Circle! It’s all about simple good habits. But let’s approach those habits from the opposite direction: What are the most damaging bad habits that your doing time and time again?
1. Using a cleanser with harsh detergents: Many people assume that the suds of their vigorously foaming cleanser are a good sign — surely they’ll leave skin extra clean. Unfortunately, copious suds are generally a sign that your cleanser contains a harsh detergent, like lauryl sulfate, that strips skin of vital lipids. (And don’t get me started on bar soap — that is always a no-no.) Instead, look for cleansers that contain fatty acids and will actually fortify your skin, like Dove’s ProAge products, or even simple cold cream. If you have particularly dry skin, I recommend cleansing oils, which remove dirt and makeup without disturbing your skin’s natural protective barrier.
2. Not using a retinoid: Retinol, a form of vitamin A, is the only topical ingredient proven not only to prevent lines and wrinkles but to minimize the ones you already have. Past the age of 30, I recommend seeing a dermatologist for a higher-concentration prescription retinoid (like Retin-A, Differin, or Tazorac, for example), but there are also many great over-the-counter creams that contain lower concentrations of retinol. I like Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream, Neutrogena Healthy Skin Night Cream, and SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0.
3. Spending too much on skin care: Splurging on the beautiful packaging and luxurious scents of pricey boutique skin care lines can feel wonderfully pampering — provided you know that it’s absolutely not necessary for great skin. In fact, many of my favorite products are made by drugstore brands, because those companies have the large budgets for top-notch research and development. If you have to choose, put your money toward that prescription retinoid, and buy the rest of your regimen at the drugstore.
4. Getting facials: Yes, that’s right — you can strike facials from your skin-care budget and actually be doing your skin a favor! Studies show that as many as 80% of people break out after a facial. Aestheticians often don’t know which products are right for the skin of each client, and may use ingredients that can worsen acne, or essential oils that tend to irritate sensitive skin. Even if you don’t break out, there are really no long-term benefits to facials.
5. Washing your face at the wrong time: Always wash your face after you rinse out your hair products and conditioner in the shower, never before. Many conditioners contain pore-clogging isopropyl myristate and other hair products often contain coconut oil — both are common acne-causing ingredients that you don’t want to leave on your skin.
6. Not using sunscreen every day: Not just for your trip to the beach. Not just during the long summer days. Every day. Yes, it’s important to be even more vigilant if you plan to spend lots of time in direct sunlight. But incidental sun exposure typically accounts for more of our lifetime exposure to ultraviolet rays than those days at the beach. Walking to and from your car, dashing out of the office for a sandwich, or sitting outside for a few minutes adds up — make sure you’re covered with at least SPF 15, every day.

A Success Story
I had known many people, who had their success stories told in publication or in movies; but nearly all of them had been famous people. I also know people with success stories that no one else has ever heard of. You would not consider them famous or heroes in anyway, but they are heroes nonetheless.
I am talking about those who have struggled to lose weight for years, and have now finally found the answer. They have already resorted to dieting and exercise; but in the end weight loss supplements have helped them more with their goals. We can say, that theirs is a success story of everyday people. Now, they are no longer hampered by their condition, and go on to build normal lives.
Summer time, vacation time
The school year 2008 here in Australia has ended and some people were preparing for the their holiday vacations. Just like my friend who already booked for a las vegas hotel reservations before new year. Some we’re just staying at home like me and will celebrate Christmas and New Year with the family. There’s no point of going somewhere and all you have to think are the expenses to be spend. Gosh, with the situation of the economy today, I’ll prefer to stay at home and wait for the right time to travel. We’re planning to have a vacation but we postponed it. I’m looking forward to it but anyway it’s not that necessary. Celebrating the holiday with my family is more than enough because we’re together. Although they’re were lot of relatives are not going to be with us, but at least we never forget to communicate each other.
Blinded Lights
Summer is here at last, and the sunshine is slowly creeping back into our days. Some sunshine is welcome especially coming from a really cold winter; but too much of it can’t be that good. Of course you also need something to get cool during summer, and so covering the home up a little wouldn’t hurt.
You can cover up windows in many different ways. You can use drapes or curtains, but that would be old fashioned. For me blinds would a better and more modern solution. And I would actually prefer bamboo blinds more for a bit of tropical touch. After all it’s about keeping cool this summer.
Home service massage
It’s almost a year since my last massage and that was back in the Philippines. When I came here, I find it hard to continue the regimen. I don’t trust any spa or whoever to touch me here or let’s just say I’m more scared. I just wait for the right timing to come.
I meet a very nice Sri-Lankan woman at my kids school and then she became my friend. Later on I found out that she’s a beautician. I tried her manicure-pedicure service with foot-spa and she’s very good. She even do eye-brow threading without pain at all. She does facial and her husband is a hair-dresser and a hair cutter of all gender. Can you imagine that they were popular at their own country as beauticians and even featured in different newspapers? They already did services to some famous celebrity. They had models. Here in Aussie, they’re just living like a simple Christian family.
Yesterday I called my friend to do massage for me because I felt a terrible headache. She never hesitated. I’m her regular costumer from head to toe. Gosh I felt so good and rejuvenated after the one hour session. I even gain appetite. This is the reason why I love full-body massage. It makes me feel good and alive and young. Back in the Philippines, I do it once or twice a month and I’m glad I can do it anytime here now because my friend live just one block away from me. Yeah we’re neighbors because they just moved in.
Donna is a good beautician and all the customers I referred to her were very satisfied and keep on coming back. Yeah, I brought lots of customers to her house that’s why I always got discount. Haha, I’m just helping her earn more because she is worthy. She’s the one who accompanied me during the Bollywood Ladies Night.
Just a snap after the session. Feeling young and pretty. All pink haha. That’s kikay.
Show off that winter boots
Winter season is a great time to put on boots made of sheepskin. Since it’s summer here, I packed all my boots with that kind and bring it out when winter season come again. If you’re familiar withUGG boots, surely you’re aware that it’s Australian made. They have the latest trend in the market. I saw lots of fabulous designs the last time we visited Chadstone mall. Planning to buy just warm sleepers also made of sheepskin. It’s really comfy to have one of their boots and sleeper. It’s popular everywhere and even online. Even Hollywood celebrities loves to wear UGG because it’s fashionable and has a very good quality.
