I know it is Sunday but I worked all weekend and we were busy. Here it is my store did $700,000 plus. Not too shabby according to their figures it was 104% or so better than last year. I am not sure if they factor in inflation and all but that is 3/4 of way to a million dollars. There are some stores that pulled in million dollars.
I do believe my theory is right with these tough times people who normally shop at high end stores shopped more at Wal-Mart this year especially for things like flat screen tvs and computers and toys. Sure Black Friday has a lot of deals at any store but I think people know you can save money at Wal-Mart. I should look into the high end stores and see if I can find out how the fared on Friday. Tomorrow is Cyber-Monday no big excitement their at least on my end, just another working day.
Have a great day.

Feeling rather bore but not inclined to write, I decided to take some quizzes. The first one is “Where Should my Inner- Californian Live” It is funny maybe true I don’t know.
You Belong in Los Angeles
|

Whether you’ll admit it or not, a huge part of you likes being in the spotlight.
And you may just have enough star quality to make it big in LA!
Even if you don’t become famous, you still belong in a place where you can get a year round tan.
|
The next one was “Are You a Pilgrim or an Indian?” No surprise here, I am an Indian. I think this is true.
You Are an Indian
|

It’s likely that you spent a lot of time outdoors as a kid.
You feel comfortable and at peace in nature. You identify with Native Americans.
You are a truly helpful and giving person. You like to lend a hand.
And while you do your best to do the right thing, people haven’t always been kind back to you.

If I was a super awesome writer and I have these people who make me a success then I would want to appreciate everyone with a holiday card. Of course, if I had only a couple of people I would still give out Holiday cards. I wonder if Wal-Mart will give out holiday cards. I guess I will find out. Anyway if you are looking for Business Holiday Cards then you might want to check out Gallerycollection.com. Here you can find a huge assortment of holiday cards.
There are winter scenes, snowflakes and other winter festivities to give a great holiday card for every person at your company, regardless of what they celebrate. The site is very easy to navigate and everything has color pictures and detailed information. Gallery Collection not only sells holiday cards and birthday cards but they also support Texas Children’s Pediatric Associates Project Medical Home® by giving away 4000 personalized Christmas cards to children who are living with or being treated for a serious illness. When a company cares about someone else should make you feel good buying from them.
It is about a month before Christmas and it is not too late to order your holiday cards, why not head on over to Gallery Collection and check out what they have to offer.

Since my payday fell on Thanksgiving, I got paid today. Remember what I said that for some reason, last pay I went through a lot of money really quick? Not this pay. Some things are changing and how I spend my money. The boyfriend plans on going to Wal-Mart on Friday and I picked out some stuff for Sunshine that will be dirt cheap at the sale. Also my work times are changing slightly.
This weekend I am working full 8 hour shifts which means an hour lunch after that I still work a lot of hours but most shifts will be 8 hours with a half hour lunch so I can bring peanut butter and buy a can of soda from the machine. Also, I changed my cell plan and I have been workind on getting free minutes through Virgin mobile. Another thing I am changing is my coffee buying. I probably should quit buying coffee but I can do it cheaper by using a cup. For the size I buy now it costs me $1.29 plus tax for a refill I am paying $.69 saving .60. I work about 5 days a weeks so that is $3.00 savings.
Another thing is I do by a snack when I am the store with my coffee. I will be changing my snack to a bananna $.79 if they look good or 2 donuts (they are 2 for $1 I know not terribly healthy but I burn the calories at work). I will watch odd spending and no extras except $20 for a pair of work pants. I tried looking for pants second hand but can’t find any in my size so I have to get them at Wal-Mart. I would like to have some money left over by next pay, how great would that be. I know I can do it, I just need to be smarter and cut up my Visa debit card because when I cashless I reach for it.
Have a great day

If you need something like skin care, what do you do? Do you rush to your local drugstore and just buy your same old brand or do you buy what is on sale? There are many different types of skin care out there so where do you turn for more information and where to find the best price? Shop Wiki. If you haven’t heard of Shop Wiki, you should run over and browse through pages on anything and find out more information and the best place to buy it.
Check out the health and beauty guide for all information on skin care, shampoos, fragrances and make-up. Just because you look good doesn’t mean you have to go broke doing so. Who knows you might even find a good product that is cheaper than your normal product. I may not wear make-up or use skin care and I am the girl who spends $2 on shampoo and conditioner but there is one thing I love and that is perfume.
I browsed through the perfume guide. I learned a lot about the different perfumes on the market and the brands that fit certain scents. I also learned why certain fragrances are more expensive than others. Did you know if a fragrance is labeled perfume it is the strongest and longest scent and is more expensive. Check it out today!

Money or lack there of is one everyone’s mind and with Christmas looming are you planning on going out on Black Friday to get the best deals or are you cutting back on Christmas shopping altogether. I am interested to know if people are changing? I wonder if people who don’t normally shop on Black Friday will this year to save money. I am also wondering if people who shop at upscale stores will they be shopping at Wal-mart and stores like that?
Many of the money people on the news predict this year’s holiday spending will be down. I think it all depends. Are retailers going to have even better deals than they normally do? I am sure the store will be busy on Friday but I wonder how busy? I guess I will know how well my store did on Saturday at the sales meeting and I will let you all know.
Have a nice day!

Many people are facing some kind of financial crisis one way or another be it foreclosure or credit card debt. If you can afford to pay something on your credit cards then the best option for you might be Credit Consolidation. Depending on how you consolidate you can make one payment and have your interest rates drop lower. Sometimes the company will drop a fee or two because they really want your money and not have you not pay anymore or go brankrupt. If you want more information visit debtconsolidation.com and read the information. Using debt consolidation can help you get out of credit card debt.

There is a lot of things people that are just a waste of money. Sometimes money is wasted and you may not even know it. I found some big mark-ups in retail from walletpop.com. So here they are:
- Wine in restuarants. Restauranters will mark up a glass of wine 400% over retail and only about 200% for an entire bottle. Either skip the wine or buy the bottle. I guess some states will allow to bring your own wine or bring the bottle home with you. If you live in a state like this then buy the bottle.
- Precut produce- to have your salad vegetables already cut is waste of money and I think we can all agree on that one. Sure it is convienent but you could just buy a food processor and use it to chop your vegetables, this will save you time and money
- Movie concessions- I think we all know that we have to donate a kidney for popcorn and soda at the movies. I know we are not supposed to take stuff into the theater but if you do it right you won’t get in trouble and you will save a ton of money. I always brought my own goodies to the theater.
- Eye level grocery items- I don’t see this where I work but I guess some grocers will mark up items only because people will look and buy them because them need them and they are there.
- brand name medication- I love all the hoopla about name brand medicines and how they “claim” that they are the best really the generics go through the same FDA testing as the name brand drugs and work just as well
- organic produce at the grocery store- the way to get around this is shop at your local farmer’s markets or farmers in your area. You will see the savings pile up.
- non organic produce at the grocery store- case in point this past season I bought corn from a local grower for $1.99 a dozen at the grocery store the going rate was $3.99 a dozen, catch my drift
- restaurant coffee- no big surpise there
- restuarant french fries- another story from my past. I worked at the local fair for a week to earn some money. For a small thing of fries would cost someone $3.50 at the time a 50# bag of potatoes cost the retailer only $15
- fountain soda- anyone who ever worked with fountain soda knows that the syrup and carbonated water are so cheap and but yet the store will charge over a dollar or almost 2 for a cup of fountain soda. Sometimes fountain soda is cheaper than bottled soda so do a little price comparison before buying.
I know sometimes some of these items are unavoidable but if you are always running low on money maybe some of these are the reason why you are low money. Maybe you can cut down on one of these items or cut it out completly.
I am huge supporter of buying from local producers and you can save a ton of money and help the local economy by buying from local producers.

This is a slogan for a company specializing in Credit Card Counseling , The Credit Exchange. I thought this was awfully clever but it rings so true. What the Credit Exchange is a referral service where they direct you to screened debt relief partners. To use the The Credit Exchange is free for you but you may charged by the debt relief company. Please note that the Credit Exchange is not a debt management company but rather a referral service.
I really believe that if you have a lot of credit card debt the very best way to take care of it is to try and consolidate or have someone renegotitate lower interest rates. It is those rates and fees that can realyl put someone in the red. Check them out today if you are looking for a good way to get out of debt.
