Big Brother Craze

So, I’ve never watched the other versions of Big Brother before, not even the UK version. I know, I’m so late to the game! Fortunately, my buddy Dr. Detroit over at BBCouchPotatoes does, has, AND is showing the daily recaps and shows on his site. This round is Celebrity Big Brother, and they’ve chosen 11 celebs, including three Americans of the ultra d-list type fame. Who are our ‘locals’ in the house?

Coolio.
Yes. Coolio, who was pleased to tell everyone that his recent physical said he had the heart,lungs, liver and sexual performance of a 25 year old. I know, I’m impressed too, aren’t you? Don’t you wanna just run in and hump his leg? Yeah baby. He’s hoping someone wants him too, though - as he wants attractive gals attracted to him so he “might get some”. Be still my beating heart..

LaToya Jackson
Yes. That LaToya. And what the hell is wrong with her face? Seriously? And the way she laughs? OMG. No 52 year old I know laughs like a chipmunk on crack like she does. I wanted to smack her within the first five minutes. Her bio also cracks me up - never used her fame to get anything, but can’t live without bottled water. Alrighty then. Apparently Jermaine did Celebrity Big Brother 5, too. Those Jacksons. Can’t ever get rid of them…

And completing the American D-List Trifecta, we have Verne.
Yeah. Mini-Me. Didn’t he do the Surreal Life too? He thinks it’ll be like summer school, and already has shared stories of getting drunk with Coolio, and…

yeah. These are the three American “celebrities” that they get to spend four weeks in the British Big Brother House. They join a variety of Celebs from England, Scotland and Ireland, from a topless glamour model, to an actress to a politician. It’s certainly a diverse cast - and you can watch the nightly shows over with Dr. D at BBCouchPotatoes.

Speaking of a diverse cast, AND Dr. D - Monday is the beginning of the brand new Big Brother Interactive Season 2 - Dr. Detroit has been added to the cast, joining a plethora of iGuests that vary in age, background, and personalities. They’ve been settling in, and eager for the game to begin on Monday. Head on over and cheer them on, hm?

Man - I can’t wait till the next season! It kills me to see only a couple posts here and there! I do hope that all of you had a happy and healthy Christmas, with plenty of presents and pie! Here at Casa de Lessa, we certainly did, despite my getting the tummy flu for Christmas. Inorite?! Ew.

We’re still accepting applications for the Big Brother Interactive game that we plan to start on January 5th. Those who are to become iGuests can expect to have their acceptance notice in their email box sometime on January 2nd - and I’ll accept applications right up until the very last minute! So get on over there today, and put yours in!

In other, semi-related news, I’ve been kicked off another site for inviting folks to play in our game. I don’t get it - there’s enough room on the interwebs for everyone, and I’d think enough gossip to spread around and share, without hostility. Alas, folks just aren’t as accepting as I am, I guess!

Everyone is welcome here, no matter what place you hang your hat and call home! I don’t expect that I’m your one and only Big Brother source (though I’m ever glad for those who have found me and keep coming back for my ’special’ brand of snarkitude! You are all rock stars in my book!) - there’s a lot of differing opinions on the interwebs when it comes to us rabid Big Brother Fans, and everyone finds a place where they belong - then lurk on half a dozen other sites too. At least, that’s what _I_ do, and I’d expect that you do the same. So - everyone is welcome here! All places fans of all peoples, as long as mutual respect reigns supreme.

After all, if I were so worried about ‘losing readers’ would I be so involved with Big-Brother-Fan.com’s game? Danny and I have very different styles, and the BBi game is HIS baby, I’m just helping him with it. So don’t be shy! We have a long few months before Big Brother 11 comes around! Everyone loves a little healthy competition, right? Right! Even if you don’t apply, feel free to come along and watch. It’ll be worth your while, I promise! (and don’t forget the contest!)

Now, to the REAL question - will there be another strike (SAG this time) and if so, will there be another winter Big Brother? Right now, all signs point to no, but we’re still scouring sites for any and all information that will let us know for sure. The latest speculation says that there are plenty of episodes of many of the prime time shows already in the can, since they started filming earlier after the writer’s strike last year - that means they already have episodes done through the spring, so the earliest Big Brother would have to come in to fill some slots in mid-June, which isn’t really very likely. But hey, stay tuned - as soon as I know, you’ll know!

Yup, it’s a contest that’s all about abbreviations! Ok, not really, but that’s a lot of letters up there, isn’t it? Lemme explain:

As you guys know, I recently competed in Season one of Danny’s Big Brother Interactive test season. What better way to ease the withdrawal symptoms as we wait for BB11? You may also remember that I lost due to a game twist beyond my control and I still maintain I would have WON if it had not been for that. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Anyway, part of the things we learned in BBi:1 was that Danny needed help. So who did he ask? ME!

That’s right, I’ve joined the admin team over there in order to help run BBi:2 - bigger, badder, better then ever. I’m helping with everything from application screening to competition building, to keeping Danny calm as we search for the biggest, best fans out there.

That last part? Easy - as the best Big Brother Fans come by RIGHT HERE at Big Brother Craze! So I thought I’d have a contest, to help both Danny and myself out for this upcoming season. We want to start on January 5th. We need applicants - the more the better. That’s where YOU come in. Even if you don’t apply, you can tell your friends and get THEM to apply. So here’s what’s at stake.

When you register for the new (and VASTLY improved!) forums, you become an iWitness. You will get thrice-weekly updates, just as if you were watching the season on television only. For a small, itty bitty price, you get full access, and see everything - from full DRs, to every single post that the iGuests make, perhaps even a hint at what’s going on in the privacy of their private messages! Inorite?!

So - you want all of that, but you don’t want to pay? Alright then. I’m a big fan of you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours! There will be TWO prizes for this contest - one will be a season pass to the BBi House, and the second will be a one month pass.

Here’s how the contest works:

2. Tell your friends. Every person who comments on THIS POST with their User Name after registering for the new BBi House will be entered into the random draw for a one month free pass to the BBiHouse, paid by me.

For every application that comes in that says “(insert your name here) sent me!” somewhere on it, you get a point. Most points gets the season pass. Simple as that.

I know, you’ve been DYING to know what’s going on in the BBi house, but are too scared to pop over and check - so here I am, telling ya. How nice am I?

I’ve been rattling round in the iJury for a bit now, followed too quickly by my Partner in Crime, Vital Viper as he was sent packing right after me in a fast forward. Sigh. Afterwards, Felipe joined us, and then Noel. Funny, that’s exactly what we told her would happen when we explained that she should help save me, and join up with the PiCs. I do love being right!

I don’t love that the Bible Buddy Idiots are still in power, and look like they’ll pull out the win. Their advantage was just too much to overcome, and without the PiCs in the house to do it, it simply became an impossibility. Sigh.

In BETTER news, though - I’ve joined up with Danny, to help him run Big Brother Interactive Season TWO! Hey ya’ll! I thought I’d pop in, and before I do another BBi Update, see if we can’t figure out what some Big Brotehr folks are up to. After all, it’s Thanksgiving, I am nearing a food coma, and wandering around the internets is about as energetic as I’m gonna get.

Yes, I know that’s what I do all day, every day. Hush, you.

So - Renny has taken ebay by storm - and is selling everything but the kitchen sink! Props, hats, autographs - and a ‘fly to your house, pop out of a box in a bow and have a pajama party’ package! No, I’m not kidding. Check it out! Way to work your fame, girl!

Alex (BB9) is still hoping to be on BB again, or another reality show, and appreciates the support he still feels from all his fans, while Steven, Dan, Memphis and Brian are headed to Vegas this weekend - can’t wait to see pictures of THAT group out and about!

Crazy James is not only living it up in Paris still - but has gotten engaged! On his birthday even! AND he has a REAL JOB. Inorite?!

Memphis was able to get the truck he’s always wanted - a 1970 box bronco, and will be featured in the January issue of Bronco Driver Magazine. Nice! And if you send him a self addressed envelope with a picture and stamp, he’ll autograph it and send it right back to ya!

Nick and Jen (BB8) are still together, in the oddest coupling to have made it out of BB yet - or close to it anyway, as it seems that Ollie and April are still together as well. Word on the street is that they’re living together now. April’s Myspace is still set to private, and they have lain pretty low since the end of the show. We do know, however, that April will be playing for the Lingerie Football League.

Keesha just got back to LA after a long visit home with friends and family in Ohio - with a side trip to visit Dan the Man. She and her friends even watched him teach a class! She’s doing some traveling for Hooters promotion, but isn’t back to work just yet.

Dan, as mentioned above is back to teaching - his students are keeping him on his toes, and he’s happy to be back doing what he loves. He’ll also be doing some motivational speaking in the new year, which is pretty exciting!

And while I was posting this - Last, but CERTAINLY not least - the one and only Evel Dick posted a myspace blog. He has a new show being shopped around. He mentioned filming a pilot, but the details are that it’s like Kitchen Nightmares, though for clubs and bars, with Evel Dick the night club’s answer to Gordon Ramsey. It’s called EvelDick Behind Bars, and they’ve a bunch of interviews with networks in the works. Awesome!

Well, I always promised I’d go out with a bang! She threw the first punch this morning, and she really should learn not to come to a fight unarmed. Can’t wait till they all discover just how true my words really were…

But as of Tomorrow I’ll be joining the jury. Good thing though, as whew. I have a lotta work to catch up on! I’ll see what I can find for previous houseguests updates for ya’ll here, while we mourn the fact we still don’t have our beloved BB. Big Brother Interactive, however, is already working behind the scenes to set up BBi2! So, if you’re interested in trying out the new and improved version (since we helped work all them kinks out!) be sure to keep checking back here for announcements and when Danny will be accepting applications.

You know you wanna do it - it’s all the drama and stress and fun of the real thing, while letting you eat ANYTHING YOU WANT. You can’t go wrong with that!

Sorry about the lack of posts - but it seems my openness for ya’ll really did me in with the recent twist in the game. Lesson learned, ya know? But it’s all good. I”m gonna apply to help with the next version. If those folks thought I was bad now? Just wait until I’m in CHARGE…

I know. You have been wondering, since it’s been a week, right? (Except for those who have joined the ‘house’ to watch us play, as well as interact with other iMericans, as well as those on my Super Secret BBiInsider Email List - that you can join if you use the contact link over there under my name AND pass a IP check… YOU all know what’s going on…) So I figured I’d best get in here and give an update, so that the rest of ya’ll know too!

Not like any of the BB10 folks have returned my emails… *L* S’all good though. We love you, houseguests!

Now:

Here we go. In the last week, Lessa survived again! Fil swooped in, stealing HOH right out from under my nose, but he clearly had other priorities then lil ole me when it came to targets for his HOH week. Whew! He put up MissNYC and Sludgelips instead, and I was perfectly ok with that.

Then, the food competition had quite a little twist to it, though we only just recently found out the final prize in that. I lost it, due to a question I didn’t quite remember right, and since Noel said it - stands to reason she remembered it better then me. *L* So she won the prize, and took PMs from four of the houseguests.

Remember the Prize. It comes into play…

Then! POV Comp, and we had to GIVE VOTES for someone ELSE to win POV! OMG. I took the best calculated risk I could, and rocked that bitch like you wouldn’t believe, answering all but 2 questions right, and handing the Head of Household the POV. My reasoning? He made the noms, he’d want to keep them the same, right? Right. That was my hope, and it proved valid enough, as Sludgelips and MissNYC remained on the bock.

Just after our votes for eviction were put in, we were given the news that Noel’s other prize was immunity for this upcoming week - in exchange for those other folks put on lack of PMs for the week. Ha! Some folks were really upset about it, but really? It’s all apart of the game. Things blew up, as they usually do, right after HOH…

…that I lost. Again. DAMMIT. I’m due, right? Isn’t it time for another endurance comp? I could rock that… *L* Assuming I survive another week, and am not the last non-jury eviction, right? Right. *L*

So Marissa is now the HOH, and Nominations will be tomorrow. Head on over to the iHouse - and join the fun! You KNOW you want too!

With the just posted eviction, we close up on week two, and I’m still there! WHOOHOOO! Not so easy to get rid of me, it seems!

We had our first ‘food’ competition this week, and the version of online interactive slop is…. NO Private Messaging for the losing team! Now, as you can imagine that puts a little bit of a crimp on the whole strategy whispering side of things, ya know? But we managed, and the PMs came back on directly after the eviction…

Oh, SPEAKING of eviction. You wanna know who won POV? DO YA? That’s right! ME! 15 freakin hours of an ‘endurance’ POV, where for the first 6 hours we had to post every 15 minutes, the last 9 hours we had to post EVERY FIVE MINUTES.

I’m still tired.

But I came out the victor - agreeing to a last minute deal to save the other girl fighting for the POV, thus keeping us both safe. I kept my word, took Danette off the block, and Tequila put Bartenderchik32 up in her place. And then all hell broke lose. *L* It culminated in Bartender being evicted by an 8-1 vote.

Though it wasn’t for lack of trying on at least one front!

Before we get to that though, I wanted to let you all know that The Renegades, our boys Dan and Memphis - will be in Seattle on Wednesday, for a Real One interview! For those that still have the feeds, that means that Wednesday at 6pm PST, on Feed Four, they’ll be answering questions from the Superpass chat rooms. They will also be giving away 10 free-for-a-year Super Pass subscriptions at some point during the hour - so be sure to tune in for that!

For those that don’t have the feeds any longer, I’ll be sure to post it up here just as I did Keesha/Chelsia. I know. I’m such a rebel. *g*

Now - for the BBI Update!

Yes - despite the best efforts of Careyan, I remain in the Big Brother Interactive ‘house’ and intend to stay that way. For her efforts, Careyan was evicted unanimously by a 10-0 vote, with our cheers following her out the door. The extent of her last minute attempt to “expose” me for “lying” about who I am (….yeah. I know, right?) was a dismal failure, and when coupled with her slams against Danny and the BBi game itself, it resulted in her being evicted FIVE HOURS EARLY.

All together now - Hit the road, Jack, and don’t ya come back no more no more no more no MORE!

When it came to the HOH competition I thought I was prepared, I’d studied everything I could possibly think of… and then I over-thought the question. I had part two, Renny, within seconds. It was the ‘riddle’ that got me, because I dug TOO deep, instead of seeing the obvious. Duh. If I had had both answers right the first time, I might have won, but I didn’t.

So, congrats to Tequila for winning HOH! Let the new week begin!

One week down, 9 to go!

First - the good news! I AM NOT NOMINATED! WHOOO! The nominations are in, and Vital Viper, the week one HOH, has nominated Careyan and Danette. You can go to the site for more info or head straight to the forums for his little speech and whatnot. I can say that I heartily approve of these nominations, because THEY AREN’T ME!

Do I feel safe? Not a tall. I’d be stupid to! I may be blond under all the hair color, but I’m not stupid. There’s still POV, which I’m not playing in, and the possible re-nom. I’m fairly confident, as the drama has included my name, but as the victim that I was, rather then an instigator. Which is good, because I had nothing to do with any of that. I won’t feel completely safe for week 1 until after the POV/re-noms, and then it’ll gear up again by HOH comp time.

I’m a little pouty that I don’t get to play in the POV, but eager to see it all play out none-the-less. Should be interesting to finally see our first competition and how it’ll go. It seems like it’ll be simple enough, but there’s no telling what Danny-chen has up his sleeve.

I also just turned in my first DR session - so that should be posted by tomorrow in the forums so ya’ll can see a bit more of what’s going on in my head. Enjoy!

Now, for obvious reasons, there’s not a LOT I can delve into on the site here, because everyone over at the BBi house knows where this site is. It could be the equivalent of letting them see my DR sessions, right?

So I’ve been thinking… I know there’s a couple of folks who wanted a more insiders view of what’s going on, what I know, have seen, etc. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to make that happen for you. My one worry is to maintain the integrity of the game - I’m not the cheating type. I can’t see anything that goes on in the forums other then our little house portion, and that’s the way it has to stay until I’m evicted. (Although, I’m not gonna lie, I’m DYING to see what folks are saying about everyone.. Do they like me? hate me? TELL ME! No, don’t tell me, I’m not supposed to know. OMGAUGH!)

So how about this - if you want a more detailed report from me about what’s going on behind the scenes of the BBi house from my point of view, send me an email through the contact button to the right there, under my name. In that message, please promise/swear that you will not tell me anything that is being said on the forums that may impact the game. Then keep that promise. You also must swear not to pass along anything I say to any of the other houseguests, as that would be the equivalent of letting them see DR sessions and giving them info they otherwise would not have.

I’ll put whoever is interested on a list and will email occasionally with some behind the scenes banter, to help keep ya up on some of the extra drama, since a lot goes down via PM - like we’re all whispering while obstructing our mics. *L*

Granted, I’ll have to simply trust you - but I think most of ya’ll are good upstanding folks! *grins* At least, ya better be… *L* So, if your interested, hit up that contact button, and I’ll give ya some “Email Messages From The iHouse” and keep you up to date. A few of you have asked how Big Brother Interactive is going - and well, you should certainly check it out to ‘watch’ the feeds. There was something of a blowup this morning, and I am somewhat involved, though not with the blowup directly. And no, mama, I didn’t start it! I’m innocent, I swear!

The vote deadline for the first HOH has been moved up to tonight, since there has been so much pre-drama, and DannyChen likes to keep us on our toes. Who will be HOH? I don’t know - it seems to be between two people, and you all know what they say about a house divided…

So check it out at Big Brother Interactive, and cross your fingers that Lessa survives the week. I may have to become BBIs POV Queen. Just sayin’….

…already missing your daily dose of Lessa? Still wishing that I would give in and just audition for BB11 already? Well - you’re in luck!

No, I’m not auditioning for BB11. I love bacon and chocolate too much to get that bikini bod, and my kids aren’t old enough yet! But! I’ve just been notified of something EVEN BETTER.

Ok, maybe not, but something FUN anyway! Guess who was chosen to participate in the first ’season’ of Big Brother Interactive, the Online Big Brother Game as one of the 13 IGuests? That’s right! ME! Come September 30th, I’ll be moving into the ‘interactive house’ where I’ll be participating and interacting with the other chosen houseguests in the forums. The first Head of Household competition will be October 1st, and until then I’ll be busily contemplating my strategy.

Will I be the Online version of Dan? Memphis? Libra? Keesha? Renny? - we KNOW it won’t be April or Ollie… Maybe I’ve got some Evel Dick-like tricks up my sleeve? Eric, Jessica? Or maybe, I’ll be Carol.

Time will tell! Big Brother Interactive starts in just 8 days… you all will cheer me on, right?! Even if I’m the first one booted out?
