Toon Pete

Photobucket
We're almost done with our Photobucket photo-enhancing fun week here at Purrchance To Dream, with Pete in the "cartoon" function.
With the toon function, select a photo that has lots of contrast, then enhance the color saturation first.  Then cartoonize it.
With all these Photobucket photos this week, I did the photo enhancing first, then edited the pictures for size.  Which is very easy to do with Photobucket.  I mean, for a free service, I am very happy with Photobucket's features and user-friendliness.
We have one more fun picture to share tomorrow!

Double Spookerbucket

Photobucket

In the picture above, I put a "sticker" of pink sunglasses on Spooker in Photobucket.  That was simply the easiest photo-addition I'd ever done.  No cropping or cutting and pasting.  Just popped it on.
I love the effect in the picture below - the "invert" function, sometimes called "negative" on other software.  Doesn't it look like Spooker is glowing from the inside, and the comforter has this 'under an electron microscope' look to it that intrigues me.
Tomorrow - see what trouble Little Isis can get into on Photobucket!

Old Fashioned Daphne

Photobucket
Here's Daphne, continuing our week of Photobucket enhancements.  I used the  "bronze" selection and then added the scrapbook corners, all in the free editing functions on Photobucket.
Tune in tomorrow to see another Purrchance To Dream purry in a fun photo.

Playing With Photobucket

Photobucket

For those of you looking for some fun photo-enhancing software, I suggest you check into Photobucket.  It's FREE, and the new editing features are fun to play with.  This portrait of Chloe was done in "poster."  You can see an image that I used the "neon" function with over at It's A Blog Eat Blog World.
I also like Photobucket because the image is saved online, not in my hard drive, and can easily be added into a blog post by copying/pasting the supplied html code instead of having to upload.  This is especially useful when using wi-fi.
In the next few days, I'll be posting some more photos here that I have played with on Photobucket, so check back for some more fun images!

This Package Inspected
By Little Isis #9

Photobucket

We had some cans of stinky goodness that Jaz wouldn't eat (pretty spoiled little darling for a Formerly Feral, ain't he?) and some extra new toys, so we put them in a gift bag to take to our local shelter.
Before they could be delivered, however, Little Isis had to do a Quality Control Check. She finally had to be distracted with some Party Mix, and the goodies were able to be delivered to the shelter.
(Not The Mama did get to go in and say hello to the shelter kitties, and NO we don't have any new siblings today!)

Snip

No, this post isn't about getting Pete's hoo-ha's snipped, not yet - that is coming soon.
It's about trimming his claws last night.  What an ordeal.  But they'd gotten to the "velcro-sound" on carpet stage, and he loves to wrap his paws around my wrist or ankle, and the little needles started to bleed me every time.
Suffice it to say, he had to go into the Klaw Kontrol Bag and finally he calmed down enough for me to get the job done.  I've never seen a cat with such retraction force with their dew claws, though - seriously, I had to massage the foreleg around it to get him to loosen up enough for me to extend those claws!
Daphne let me trim her claws with relatively little fuss, but when I tried to do Chloe, she fought me so hard she started drooling and panting.  Which of course freaked me out and I let her go.  It was a year ago that I had to rush her to the Emergency Room for the excessive drooling and shallow breathing... so she played the Drool Card and got a Get Out Of Claw Trimming Free Pass.  This time.  Don't worry, within two minutes she was back up on my lap, totally fine, making biscuits on my tummy.  But of course, that was AFTER she saw me set the nail trimmers down.
Now to make that Petey hoo-ha-ectomy V-E-T appointment...

You take the good,
you take the bad...

...today is one of those happy/sad days.

We're happy because our buddy Jeter Harris is home.  But sad because we learned that Icon Baxter Bentley has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Icon's family.

And we hope that Jeter decides his wild
wandering days are over and stays home for good now!
