WHO WILL?

Jet would always bug me about putting up our own business but he would always get a refusal from me. Not that, I don’t like the idea. In fact, I love to put up a business. It would be a great source of income for both of us especially when Jet is on vacation and earning nothing.

I think it is not yet the right time for us to talk about it as we are still both busy settling some issues that surround our individual lives and our life as a couple. Another thing is that we both have our respective careers that eat most of our time. I believe a business should be taken care of and should be managed personally by the owner. For this to be possible, one of us should give up our careers and focus on whatever business we will put up. The question is who will?

If I am the one to give up my career, I’ll love to put up a restaurant business. I am fond of foods and I may not be the best cook in the world but I know the business will click. There is this site which offers compendious and comprehensive reviews on Guides to Manage a Restaurant which would help me greatly in the future. I am so glad that this site exists. Deciding on important matters would not stress me.

As for this moment, we will just continue to focus on our respective careers and resolve the issue in the right time.

MY PRAYER TO GOD

Dear God,

We have waited for this day to come and we want to thank you for making it possible today. I believe that this day is the right time, the day you have answered our prayer. This event was postponed for several times and we admit that it has caused us pain but, the trust we have in You prevails. We trust that everything happens for a reason and there is a season for everything. Your time is perfect, thus, we know this day will be perfect.

We don't know what will happen today Dear God. But, one thing is for sure, whatever is the outcome of this event, good or bad, it is according to your plan in our lives. Good things as well as bad things are blessings only if we know how to acknowledge them as part of your great plans to make us better persons and bring us closer to You.

We lift up everything to You and entrust our lives under your care for without You we are nothing.

Amen.

IT'S NOT TOO LATE

I bought a watch for my mother last Christmas as a gift. It was a not – so – expensive present because of my limited budget. I wanted to give her something expensive and of quality like a Rolex watch but circumstances didn’t allow me to do so.

If I’ve only known that Perpetual Diamonds sells like-new and pre-owned Rolex watches, I had purchased one from them. They offer genuine Rolex watches at substantial discounts to the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Because they are an independent dealer of like-new and pre-owned Rolex watches, they are able to avoid manufacturer's pricing controls and forward greater discounts to us customers. Their prices are incredible for bringing the world’s best luxury Rolex watches, due to the fact that they receive their Rolex watches in specific quantities and they have a very low markup so the savings is passed directly to customers.

I really missed the great opportunity of buying something great for my mother last Christmas season at an affordable price. But, I know it’s not too late. Come March, my mom will celebrate her 50th birthday. I think it would be timely to buy her a new watch. And this time it would be something she really deserves.

LONG VACATION UPDATES

How was your vacation guys? I hope you had a great time with your families and that you had fun during the holiday season. As for me, it was a tiring long vacation. A lot of unseen events took place. But, as always God has been with us. We were able to surpass all the difficulties that came our way with God's aide and guidance.

December 24 - Our head of agency declared a half day at work. So after lunch, I and my officemates headed straight home. I went to my paternal grandmother's house and fetched here. She spent her Christmas with us.

December 25 - Although, my brother is miles away working and our family is not complete, we were able to celebrate Christmas day with so much joy in our hearts. Jesus' birthday reminds us that God has always and will always be our refuge. Jet celebrated his Christmas with my family. My brother was away, yet, two members were added, my grandma and Jet.

December 26 - Jet and I spent the whole day pulling out all the weeds at our lot. Until now, we haven't enclosed our lot yet. Hehehe.

December 27 - Jet's mom was hospitalized. We were the one who took care of her and attended her needs. This day was spent in the hospital.

December 28 - We were still at the hospital attending to every need of Jet's mom.

December 29 - Jet and I went home to take rest while it was her sister who took care of her mom.

December 30 - We were back at the hospital to look after Jet's mom while his sister went home to take rest.

December 31 - We were still at the hospital. By this time, Jet and I were full of anticipation whether or not we could go home and bring his mom. We didn't want to spend our New Year at the hospital. Both of us were praying so hard that God would let us spend the New Year at home. God has answered our prayers. We were able to settle everything by 6:00 p.m. and we were home by 8:45 p.m.

January 1 - Jet spent his New Year at home together with my family. We had a simple celebration as we were both financially drained. Every centavo spent at the hospital including his mom's medication were shouldered by both of us.

January 2 - We spent the whole day at home since the weather was bad. We were unable to visit our lot.

January 3 - The day was spent at our lot doing our usual weeding. But then again and again, it was not yet done.

January 4 - We went to church together and this time in their congregation. We had our lunch at their home and spent some time with his family.

As you can see, my long vacation was a battle. A battle against being caught up in the middle of financial crisis. Jet and I were on a struggle. But, God has always been there with us. We ended up victorious because God never forsake us. Financial blessings are overflowing although we've spent so much for the hospitalization. We may had a hard time during the holiday but it was an easy struggle because of God. 2008 ended with a trial and at the same time ended up with so much blessings from the One Almighty above.

Jet and I welcome 2009 with a happy heart. In our journey with life, God is our light. We know, whatever it is that will happen in our lives this year, may it be favorable or not, it is for our own good and it will bring out the best in us because of God.

BACK FROM NOWHERE

Duhhh!!!!I miss blogging so much. I haven't visited my blog for quite some time now and I haven't posted any update also. It seems that the long vacation has eaten me up. Now, I'm putting the blame to the great privilege most of us employees enjoyed last holiday season, hehehe.

I have a lot of stories to tell and updates to share. Since, I am back from nowhere, I don't know where to start. All I know is I'm excited to blog once again after so many days of absence.

I would like to extend my apologies to all of you guys for my inability to visit your blogs. I will make it up to you.

WEEKEND UPDATES

It has been a busy week for me. Christmas parties were left and right leaving my stomach so full, hehehehe. Weekend has brought me so much joy and satisfaction because I was finally done with my Christmas shopping.

SATURDAY

Jet and I went shopping. Hurray! I was able to buy all the things in my list. I had new bags, flip flops, belt, watch, and a new phone for myself. I am going to share to you the pics as soon as I can upload them including all the gifts I bought for my family and loved - ones. We arrived home at about 9:00 o'clock in the evening.

SUNDAY

Jet and I went to the Catholic church together. It has been two (2) successive Sundays that we attended mass at the Catholic church. I am so happy that he was the one who insisted to go to the Catholic church eventhough we've been there last Sunday. But of course with the condition that the following two (2) Sundays, we will attend mass at their church. It is so fine with me because we have long settled this issue and we have already come up with a compromise agreement.

As a thank you gift for Jet, I was the one who prepared his snacks, hehehe. I made camote (sweet potato) delight and buko juice with coconut meat mixed with condensed milk. Picture will soon follow.

At the afternoon, we went to our lot and continue pulling off some weeds there for enclosure.
