I haven’t done that since I was about level 50! Just did a nice n easy regular Drak’Tharon run, somewhere I’d never been. I have a lot to learn, but no one died, and I managed to keep aggro most of the time, so that’s something, right?
Stay tuned… maybe this will become a ferlol blog! Then again… maybe I’ll stick to my ramblings.

Firstly - thanks to Anna of Too Many Annas for the idea, I hope you don’t mind that I’ve borrowed it!

• Softi is feral specced at the moment. I’m enjoying hacking and slashing without having to stop for mana it’s just a nice change from normal.

• I’ve been trying to figure out how to gear her to try some tanking - thank you BBB for your newest guide on this - I love you!! (uh.. not really Noobie, I promise… honest!).

• I’ve been leveling my lil hunter Maryliin over on Stormrage for the past month or so. She’s just hit 73 and I want my flying back already! I am absolutely loving my gorilladin, and I have a devilsaur named Noobie for my instancing.

• Maryliin will be dropping JCing for engineering once she hits 80 and, y’know, has enough gold. So… probably around a year away from that happening!

• In general, WoW is taking much more of a back seat for me these days. I’m starting a distance learning course and so I need to plan my time around that now as well as the rest of Real Life!

• I saw an online friend of mine pass me by in the street today - I scared the bejesus out of him by randomly saying hello - whoops!

• Softi is now honored with the Sons of Hodir, and is slowly working her way up to exhalted. She WILL get there, she WILL!

Ours was a quiet one, just us, a friend of Noobie’s and our youngest who woke up just before the bells.

Here’s to 2009 being an awesome year for everyone!

I should be back to some sort of sheduled posting by the middle of next week once the kidlet is back at nursery. Until then… Have fun!

Hello Zackarina (I know, I know, I’m bad with names, k?) A fiesty, hot lil mage who loves to see the sparks flying…

Now I actually have the inclination to play my mage again - woot!

I love you WoW, really I do…

I love the prettiness of the game.

I love my druid and her awesomeness.

I love the guild(s) I’m in.

I love all the people I’ve met through WoW.

I love the community I’ve become a part of.

I love the music.

But…

I hate that you’re such a timesink for me. I have so many things I want to do, but my crazy lil love-fest for you means that I don’t do as much real life stuff as I’d like.

I could give you up… but that would mean leaving behind something that’s been a large part of my life over the past three years, and to be honest, I don’t think I could stop while Noobie was still playing it - too much temptation to just hop on and see how everyone’s doing!

In saying that… I don’t think I’ll be getting the next expansion whenever that is. Leveling to 80 is enough for me!

I love you WoW, but sometimes I hate you too!

I just had to do something though - WP 2.7 makes everything look so shiny and new!

Last night I had my first ‘proper’ go at healing - a 10 man Naxx, and I was pretty happy with how I did to be honest. I enjoyed myself much more than I though, so I’m definitely going to stay resto for the time being.

My hope is that when the dual-spec thing goes live I’ll be able to pew pew Boomkek style for questing and such, but heal in raids… that’s the idea anyway.

Owies with the hunter nerf, but come on… it was gonna happen, right? My lil hunter is 71 now and finally got her white gorilla - Dave, after my ape-like brother-in-law (hi Dave, if you’re reading this, well… uh… *cough* oh look - a girl!). We’re working pretty well together, although I just don’t have the time to play alts as much as I’d like.

Lets face it - for an altaholic I’m already playing the best class, right? With my druid I can tank, heal, pewpew or hack and slash… not much more diversity than that all rolled into one now, is there?

Anyhoo… back to playing the game!

Ding 80! Took me long enough - I must have spent almost a week at 79.5, I just didn’t have the energy to play.

Along with hitting 80, I needed to decide how I want to play my main. I had been mulling over the idea of changing spec once I got there, and had a list of things that was pushing me towards anything but the boomkin. Don’t get me wrong - I love my fluffster - but it’s difficult to get a group together when you’re just DPS, as a healer or a tank I could get one practically with the click of a finger.

So then came the toughy… tankage or healing? I think you can decide from the title which spec I’ve gone for…

That’s right… I’m a tree! I stole my talents from the lovely Phaelia from Resto 4 Life, as I had no idea where to start, and I’ve been using her gear list while trying to gear myself up somewhat. So far the main change I’ve made is basically kitting myself out in the leatherworking PVP set - yes, I know, it has resi, but at least it’s boosted my mana regen enough to just about be able to handle healing in the easier instances.

You guys do know I used to be an innervate-bot back in my vanilla-wow days… right? It was the only way I got to see MC and the like, and I was pretty good at it back in those days, so in essence, I really am going back to my roots - both figuratively and literally!

So, that’s what I’ve been doing recently… how about you?

Oh I hadn’t realised quite how much I missed my flight form until I had it again! I finally got to 77 last night and the first thing I did was hope over to dalaran to learn the cold weather flight. Then I went all over Northrend discovering every nook and cranny I possibly could, earning myself the Explore Northrend achievement and a purty new tabard to go with it.

That’s about all I’ve been up to recently. I’ve not been on much during the week due to work (how dare it get in the way!) and family life (not so much of an inconvenience since the boy loves to “have a shot of your character” *cue cute little grin* every now and then ).

I keep wanting to play other characters -the whole altaholism is showing its ugly head it seems - but so far I’ve (mostly) been able to resist the urge!

Ah, I did re-arrange my UI a bit, what do you think? It’s still a work in progress, but I’m getting there - doesn’t help with all these alts to configure!

Right, time to go level some more while the littlies are at nursery and having a nap respectively! XD

Ooh, and for all you US bloggers out there, Happy Thanksgiving! Hope it was a good one and you don’t spend too much money today!

Phew, well, what have I been doing since thursday eh?

Lets see… I’ve leveled twice, and I’m now half-way through 75. I’ve managed to get in a few achievements, finished every quest in the Tundra and Fjord, I’m over half-way through Grizzly Hills (did I mention that I LOVE the music there?? Cause, ya know, I totally do!), and have moved over to Dragonblight, which I’m about half-way through completing the achievements for the area.

All in all? Really busy!

I’d say more, but I want to be as close to 77 as possible by the end of the day - that damn husband of mine got his cold flying skill last night, need to catch up!

Here’s a random list of thirteen things I want to accomplish by the end of the year with regards to Wrath:

• 1. Get Softi to 80. I think this will probably take a good 3/4 weeks for me to do.
• 2. Exalted with The Kalu’ak - gief mini penguin!!
• 3. Cold weather flying - only 4 levels away from that one, woot!
• 4. Get my leatherworking up to 450.
• 5. Get my cooking up to 450.
• 6. First aid to 450.
• (not adding fishing to this list as it’s been dwindling at 300 for quite some time now!)
• 7. Get my RAF Bloodhoof twins up to 60.
• 8. Consequently, level my baby shammy to about 50 thanks to the level granting.
• 9. Try out the new battleground. What?don’t look at me like that, I’m a carebear and proud of it!
• 10. Decide which faction to side with - the Oracles or the Frenzyhearts.
• 11. Go through each 5-man instance once - so far I’ve only seen the Nexus, which I was really impressed with!
• 12. Appear on a twisted nether blogcast.
• 13. Kick Noobie’s butt. No real reason for that, I just couldn’t think of a thirteenth thing…
