How Well Do You Know Yourself?

Photobucket
I am fond of taking tests online usually just for fun.  Tests like gauging your ability to type words fast and accurately; or determining how well you know the news from a year ago; or how addicted you are to blogging and the likes are really fun to do and a good diversion from the usual day-to-day online routine.  I saw this site about learning one's self through personality test, it's called LearnMySelf.com.  This personality test is really interesting and intriguing as it promises to give accurate and reliable result, of course depending on how truthfully you answer the questions.

The Learn My Self personality quizzes use the latest and most accurate methods that modern psychometrics provide to determine a person's tendencies, behavior and personality.  The Personality Test Report includes the big 5 factor inventory such as Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness and Conscentiousness. These factors are designed to help a person to quickly assess his or her personality type.  These 5 factors are broken down into different behavior, tendencies or personality as follows:
  • Neuroticism - anxiety, anger, depression, self-consciousness, immoderation and vulnerability
  • Extraversion - friendliness, gregariousness, assertiveness, activity level, excitement-seeking, and cheerfulness
  • Openness to Experience - imagination, artistic interest, emotionality, adventurousness, intellect and liberalism
  • Agreeableness - trust, morality, altruism, cooperation, modesty and sympathy
  • Conscientiousness - self-efficacy, orderliness, dutifulness, achievement-striving, self-discipline, and cautiousness

Aside from the Personality Test Report being FREE, you can also share a brief overview of your personality on your blog, MySpace or other social network profile as well as link to your full personality report.  So do you really know yourself?
I took the start quick personality quiz for about 3 to 6 minutes and I'd say that the report was really accurate.  If you want to learn more about yourself visit LearnMySelf.com and take the Personality Test for free.

My Son Regressed

Today I took my son to Gymboree on his regular play class.  It was the first time since after Christmas that we attended the class.  He was not very sociable, he climbed up to me often as if scared of something and he would only participate at the first part of a session only to back out later.   The only time he would really participate is when its cleaning up time, he likes to pick up toys and give them to the teacher.  Geez, is my son spending too much time around me that he's turning into a neat freak?!  For several days he was not feeling well and I was the only person he would like to be with, probably he was not into social interaction with other kids yet.  I guess not being around kids his age on playdates for a long time since he got sick made him regressed.  So I invited over some moms and their kids for a playdate, and we are just clearing our skeds as to when.

I Need Keyless Lock

  Photobucket

Ever since I became a stay-at-home mom, I mastered the art of multi-tasking.  I want to be able to get as much errands, household chores and online work done as I possibly can.  I always wish there were more than 24 hours a day so I can finish my to-do-list for the day.  And there are times when I also wish I could be in two places at the same time so no errands will be delayed.  Wouldn't it be nice to have a keyless lock where I can just use my finger prints to open our door and not struggle anymore looking for my house keys while I carry my toddler on my left arm and there are at least two grocery bags hanging on my right? Wow that would be the day.

But hey what do you know?  Axxis Biometrics is exactly the solution to what I am longing for, a keyless lock which uses fingerprint identification as the primary locking mechanism.  Axxis Biometrics offers this advance technology, the latest breakthrough in security accessible to everybody.  With the use of Axxis Biometrics keyless lock products, you will have the peace of mind of not getting locked out when you lose your housekey.  I'd say it is safer and more convenient to have a keyless lock that uses fingerprint ID to unlock, because for one thing you don't lose your finger like the old-fashioned key and another your finger cannot be stolen.  If you have teenage kids whom you give spare keys to, the use of fingerprint ID will give you the peace of mind of not compromising your security just in case they lose the keys and landed on the hands of criminals.  If you will go on vacation and you need somebody to house sit or pet sit for you, you can easily program that their fingerprints be accepted temporarily at certain periods. I don't see any problem with this as this temporary access will expire at the time you programmed it to be.  Axxis Biometrics is certainly the best source of biometric fingerprint lock for residential and commercial use that not only offers low price guarantee but also offers 100% impenetrable security.

Affordable Lighting Fixtures

In my to-do-list for this year, new kitchen light fixtures are certainly on the top ten.  Since we had a kitchen make-over over a year ago, we still have yet to replace the dated island and sink lighting fixtures as well as the dinette light fixtures.  I've been browsing online for the right design that will not only fit in my kitchen style but at the same time one that is not too pricey that will break my bank.

I got several ideas from Farreys.com which I am seriously considering because they have a wide range of styles at very affordable prices.  The Farreys.com website is so easy to navigate and the product search tool is very useful you can search for the actual style, brand, type, finish and price range you are going for.  I am also looking at replacing the bathroom light fixtures in the guest bathroom downstairs since my budget can still accommodate it.  I am happy to have found Farrey's, I hope I can tick-off kitchen lighting fixtures in my to-do-list soon.

Direct TV or Cable

Photobucket

I always see advertisements on TV about  two service providers trying to outdo each other by telling consumers that one is much better than the other.  But how do you determine which one is really better, direct tv or cable?

We are loyal to our cable provider, in fact our phone service, high speed internet and cable tv are all bundled up into one package.  But there are channels that you can only watch when you have directtv subscription and vice versa.  Some of my friends have been using DirectTV and still others are making the switch.   I wish I have access to Filipino channels so I can still keep myself connected to the going-ons in my country.  Although I can easily check the Filipino news online, it is still different when you see the actual news on TV.  In our present cable service, Filipino channel is not offered, but you can order a show from On-Demand feature where you pay a certain fee apart from your subscription, which I don't really want to do.  I would rather have subscribe to Direct TV where Filipino shows will always be available without additional costs.

Frankly when I checked the features of Direct TV like the signal, picture quality, digital quality and sound quality, they are all excellent.  But to really get the feel of which service provider to choose, you can check out MyTVOptions.com.  Depending on what preference you want to get out of a service provider, My TV Options will help you make the right selection, as to high definition channels, sports channels, DVR (like Tivo) feature, movie channels and local channels.  You just have to click on your specific preference and your zip code and it will provide you with the most suitable choice for your zip code and needs.  So with MyTVOptions.com you will surely make an informed decision.

In A Good Mood

My son has been sick for three days now.  Though I always say that he gets me exhausted during the day,  when he's sick I still miss his playfulness and silliness.  He is moody and cranky nowadays, understandably since he's not in his best element.  But in this picture, he insisted to listen to nursery rhymes on YouTube, he was in good mood. He listened to Alphabet Song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and in this picture he was listening toThe Old McDonald Farm.  How I wish I had my camcorder set up because he was also singing parts of the songs, usually the last part or last syllables,  while nodding his head to the beat too, LOL.  My sweetie please get well soon!
