Wordless Wednesday
Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Congratulations to my step-daughter, whom I love more than words can express. She found herself a great guy to spend the rest of her life with, and I'm so very happy for both of them!

Looking at the Sky on Friday #2
Thursday, January 1, 2009
Why does this photo 'strike my fancy'??? I'm not really sure. I guess I just like the colors, and I like having cows in a sunset photo. Yes, there are cows there - you probably have to view the photo larger to see them.

2009?!?! Already? Seriously?
Wednesday, December 31, 2008

I simply can NOT believe that tomorrow starts a new year! Seriously! Where in the heck did 2008 go? Did I sleep through half of it?
Hubs always tells me, "Just wait until you are 12 years older than you are now, if you really want to think time goes fast."
I always remind him that when I am 12 years older than I am now, HE will still be yet 12 years older ;-) I'm sweet like that.
Anyhow, it is, whether I can believe it or not, New Year's Eve! Hubs and I won't be out partying or watching the ball drop on a television sitting on one of anyone's tv stands, other than our own. We are just going to stay at home to bring in the new year.
I went out yesterday to run a bunch of errands, and I remembered to stop at the store and get some sauerkraut... You know, so we could eat some (YUCK - I only eat a teeny-tiny little bit) and have good luck for 2009. However, I had just taken for granted that we had a roast in the basement freezer to make with the sauerkraut... which, you guessed it, we don't. Oh well, I'm sure we'll have some at the get-together we are going to tomorrow, where we enjoy good company, good food, and good times playing cards.
What will you be doing this evening and tomorrow? Do you have any traditions for celebrating New Year's Eve or New Year's Day? Do you make resolutions?

Heads or Tails *Watch*
Monday, December 29, 2008

If you click on the graphic above, it will take you to the awesome new HoT blog where you can sign up and start participating in this fun and popular meme!
This week's theme is Heads-"Watch".
Possible Resolutions for the New Year...
Some people will watch what they eat and watch the scales as they watch their weight in hopes they will watch the number decrease.
Others will watch (and limit) the amount they drink, while many of their friends will watch (and attempt to decrease) the amount they smoke.
Hopefully, a few abused or neglected will find the courage to tell the abusers to watch them walk away to a new and better life.
Some people will watch their children reach for a goal which the parents resolved to make possible.
Regardless of what resolutions, if any, you set for this new year, my friends... I will be there watching you and and encouraging you via the Blogosphere.
Meanwhile, I'll be watching the world, not through my bamboo blinds, but through the lens of my camera :-D
