Nurse Licensure Examination is Over and It’s Time to Relax

The Nurse Licensure Examination is over and I finally get the time to bond with my wife. We are scheduled to roam around to relax after the Nursing Board Exam which exhausted my bank and Paypal accounts. :-)

We are planning to go to SM Baguio later and tomorrow, and of course, the most common tourist spots here like Camp John Hay, Burnham Park and Mines View Park. The Nursing board exam really depleted much of our energy, time and money. Maybe it’s time to spend some more to relax a bit after months of gruelling review, practice tests and spending. lol!

Smartbro’s Prepaid Internet Slow for Laptops

I’m using the Smartbro Prepaid Wireless Internet. The connection is terribly slow and may not be feasible for laptops and desktops for long use. It takes me an hour to publish an article 200-word long because my internet connection is very unstable. It must have something to do with the signals transmitted by cell site of Smart which are not good at the moment. I’ve tried the Smartbro Prepaid Wireless Internet in Laoag City and here in Baguio but the results are the same. I can only make use of this as a spare connection in cases where there’s no better way but to stay at home and be patient with the low bandwidth. :-(

Final Preparations for the November 2008 Nursing Board Exam (NLE)

Jen (my wife) and I are doing our final preparations for the November 2008 Nursing Board Exam (NLE) and I really find this week long, gruelling, and stressful. The November 2008 Nursing Board Exam or NLE is my wife’s first shot at the PRC-administered test and I was “threatening” her that she should make it a one-time-only exam.

I have never failed in any exam before and maybe my expectations are high. On the other hand, I sometimes console her during our review and usually tell her that if she fails, it will be just fine. However, jokingly, I told her that if she flunks the November 2008 Nursing Board Exam, she will not join the June 2009 Nursing Board Exam. Instead, she’ll just blog about it. lol! She didn’t take it seriously. I wasn’t really serious either. However, I really, really want to see her name in the list of Nursing Board Exam Passers of November 2008. Like I said, the nursing review is costly and with all my expenses as of late, I might not be able to finance her second review if she will fail on her first attempt.

Antioxidants in Chocolates and Health Benefits of Chocolates

Chocolates contain high levels of antioxidants like coffee and tea (but not as much), it also makes you feel in love because it triggers the release of dopamine (a chemical released by the brain which is responsible for pleasure). Eating chocolates has many health benefits when consumed moderately. Everthing taken in excess is not healthy, if I may add. Eating chocolates in huge quantities may not also be healthy because chocolates contain fat, calories and sugar.

Prepaid SmartBro Wireless Internet for Laptops and PCs

We went to the Smart Wireless Center in Laoag City this afternoon to ask about the rates of Smart’s prepaid SmartBro wireless internet for laptops and PCs. We all know how poor is the performance of the postpaid SmartBro internet connection in the past. This made me rethink a few more times getting an “antenna” for my laptop our schedule to go to Baguio City for the Nursing Board Exam comes.
