Heidi’s Mom: Spencer Drugged Her?

Heidi Montag’s mom has spoken out about the recent marriage of her daughter to Spencer Pratt, and she is making some shocking accusations against him. The two married a couple of weeks ago when they went on a trip to Mexico. Their marriage might not be legal because of this, but they are working on that. If they haven’t already. Now we have rumors of the couple of trying to have a baby.

However, Heidi’s mom is not too happy with this marriage. She says the couple will only last six months, and that Spencer probably drugged her daughter right before they had their wedding ceremony in Mexico. She told magazine US Weekly these things in their current issue.

He’s manipulative and seems to have power over Heidi. I would like to see a blood test from Mexico. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had her drugged. Spencer has tried to cut everyone out of her life. I’ve been honest with Heidi, and it’s caused our relationship to decline. I’m more devastated about that than the marriage, because I’m confident the marriage won’t work out.

What do you think of Heidi’s mom and her claims? Do you think the marriage will last?

DVD Review: Tropic Thunder

tropic-thunder.jpg

One of the most controversial movies of this year is probably Tropic Thunder. The movie finally hit DVD on November 18th, and it was released with a special 2 disc collector’s edition. The movie comes to us from the mind of Ben Stiller, who also stars in the film along side Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black. The comedy action adventure takes us onto a movie set of a movie being film in Vietnam. The three play actors in the movie, and there are small things that stand out in this movie to make it a must see with a ton of controversy.

The main controversy for me is the character played by Robert Downey Jr. In this film, he plays an Australia who goes through a surgical procedure to play a black man in the fake movie. This was actually offensive to me. Others found the treatment of mentally handicapped in the film also offensive, and this caused the most controvery when the film was released. Some even boycotted the movie. Even with the controversy, this movie is entertaining. The three actors go from filming a movie to actually fighting for their lives in the Vietnam jungle.

The humor in the movie is often crude, and this would turn some people off from seeing the movie. This is definitely not a movie you would want to take the kids to see or a movie appropriate for family night in front of the television. The movie does have its moment, but for me they came few and far between. I didn’t find myself interested in this film much. Robert Downey Jr.’s performance did catch my eye though, for more than just the controvery surrounding the role. I found it hard to believe that it really was Robert in this role. His performance was definitely one of the best in the film.

The DVD set contains two discs. The first disc includes the film with additional commentary available. The second disc includes a number of special features. These include deleted scenes and an alternate ending along with more commentary and behind the scenes materials. The movie itself is the unrated version not shown in theatrical release. This movie is not for the faint of heart or non fans of dark comedy. If you enjoy a little gross humor with your viewing, this movie might be just the one for you. If not, then you might want to pass it up.

New Pictures: The Legend of Chun Li

Not too long ago, I posted a Japanese poster from the new Street Fighter movie, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. That movie is set for release on February 27th, and now we have another look at the movie with some new stills just recently released. Kristen Kruek is playing the role of Chun Li in this one, and there is mixed reaction to her appearance in this role. I remember playing the video game at the arcade, and think she fits the look of the role fine. Of course, another might differ in their opinion. Check out the stills below. What do you think?

X-Files Blames Dark Knight

xfiles1.jpg

X-Files I Want To Believe hit store shelves Tuesday on DVD, and now the man behind the movie is speaking out about how well it wasn’t received at the box office. X-Files 2 came out just a week after The Dark Knight, and it was still riding high on its box office domination.

Now Frank Spotnik is blaming The Dark Knight for the lack of box office sales for his movie. Some say it isn’t the fact The Dark Knight was released. I think X-Files 2 appealed mostly for fans of the series. However, it didn’t have any broad appeal to bring in more fans.

What do you think? Can X-Files: I Want To Believe blame the The Dark Knight?

Kerr and Bloom: Are They Or Aren’t They?

The big news over the weekend was the fact that Australian Model Miranda Kerr was set to marry actor Orlando Bloom. The two have been dating for quite awhile now. The engagement rumors have been just about everywhere it seems, but a representative for the couple is saying that they are not engaged.

In fact, when Kerr is asked any questions about her boyfriend, she immediately zips up and says nothing at all. She says if you want to know about Orlando, you have to ask him for yourself. Nice to see someone not opening their mouth to spread the gossip. What do you think? Are these two getting ready to tie the knot? Check out Miranda below in a recent cover for Page Six magazine.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles Episode 2-11

TV.com: Self Made Man - Cameron’s secret is exposed. A Terminator sent to the wrong time causes catastrophic results changing history.

-

Recap & Review: Terminator seems to be picking up speed and only getting better as the season progresses. This series totally escapes everything that is part of the Terminator series of films, but with its mythology he is gaining only new viewers. In the last couple of episodes time travel and different time lines has become a focus, and that has continued on this week. We begin the episode with Cameron and some things she is doing.

At night, it appears she has another life at the library. She talks to the man that runs the library, taking him donuts. While looking through pictures in an old book from the 1920’s, she finds someone she recognizes - a terminator possibly. She has the librarian help her pull up more about the man and she finds out who he is. Even though, the records on the man are in a locked room, she breaks in. This angers the man.

However, she apologizes, and they continue on to find out about the man she saw. There is no record of him before a fire in 1920. He began to buy property in the San Fernando Valley and he built homes. He found the money to buy these properties by robbing banks. When the librarian finds her gun, he of course has way too many questions. Questions she all answers. The more she finds out about the man she saw in the picture, the more questions she has herself.

They find another video of a documentary, and in this documentary Cameron learns the story oh how the fire started. A terminator arrived on scene and started the blaze with his arrival. However, Cameron finds out that the terminator arrived at the wrong time in history. He wasn’t meant to kill all those people in the fire. In order to make things right, he makes sure the building that was going to be built by one of the men that died is built, and then he he hides in the walls for the next eighty years. She finds the terminator and terminates him before going back to the library. She tells Eric, the librarian, his cancer has returned, and he tells her to leave. The next time she comes to the library, he is gone.

As for Riley, we now know she is also from the future, and that night she calls John to come get her. She is obviously upset, but when he arrives all is well, and she wants to just hang out. Hanging out turns into John getting into a fight with the guy who lives at the house the party is at. He pulls her out of the house, and they end up parking somewhere to talk. He tells her about his past, and she does the same. This brings the two of them closer together. You really have to wonder what will happen once John finds out she is from the future.

Not much of Sarah Connor this week. Nothing of Derek and Jessie. This episode was mostly focused on Cameron and the past. The past did become important though because it looks like Cameron found the significance of the three dots. This series is really picking up speed though, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. New Wolverine Pictures

We just keep getting more and more pictures from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Last week, Empire had new pictures of Wolverine and Gambit last week, and now 20th Centure Fox has released five more images from Wolverine.

This is all in preparation for the release of the first trailer in a few weeks time. It is said to hit theaters in front of The Day The Earth Stood Still which will be released on December 12th. This will make it an early Christmas gift for X-Men fans. If Wolverine does well in theaters, an X-men 4 is not far off.
