Willy needs some Financial Planning

Willy is hearing the stories this morning that the Automakers are getting the message and they are going back to congress to plead their case for a bailout and are traveling in their hybrid vehicles instead of their corporate jets.

They are saying that they have to have money because if they don't get it soon that their mismanagement to date will cause them to go bankrupt this month. If they get the bailout they will sell their corporate jobs, they will figure out how to make cars go further on a gallon of gas, the CEO will work for $1/year + expenses and they will sell the corporate jets.

This they say will bring them back to profitability if Americans-- Many who cut from their jobs by the automakers, will then buy more cars and drive more miles and use more gas and spend more money on credit cards and ..........

Willy has debt, but the problem is that Willy has not let his debt get totally out of hand. Willy has spent beyond his means sometimes but Willy took a look and pulled in the reins and got it back in hand all by himself.

Willy needs someone to help Willy to financially figure out how to get in the mess that the automakers are in so Willy can get the bail out. Willy believes if the government will give him only about 1/100 of 1% of the $800 million bailout money, then willy will be debt free.

My plan is that if the government could spare Willy that small amount then Willy pays off all debts. That allows Willy to save a small part of his salary and then spend the rest on big cars, great vacations and many other things that will give people jobs.

That would spur the economy.

Turkey, Turkey, Turkey

Willy took turkey leftovers for lunch today. Secretary was a little concerned when Willy began to cluck like a turkey. Willy is just kidding.

It does seem like Willy ate a lot of turkey and dressing but that is ok because Willy really likes this.

Probably on its last leg though. If you know what I mean.

Yes we can change America !!!

Willy and the Fight!

Willy has to fight big time for the next three weeks or so. Yes, Willy has a problem and this problem creates Willy having to get up everyday with a fight on his hands.

What is that fight you ask. Well, it is the fight to take care of the fact that Willy has done Thanksgiving just about everyday from Thursday through Sunday of this week and Willy has allowed it to become a two belt hole holiday.

The fight comes in the fact that Willy refuses to let the battle of the bulge get the best. That means that Willy has got to fight. Yes, Willy has to fight that urge to put any more excesses of leftover turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole or pecan pie into his food loving mouth.

Willy has to fight each and everyday for the next few weeks to drink more water and less of the Mcdonald's Sweet tea. Willy has to fight to forget that an afternoon break should not consist of a Butterfinger blast from Sonic but should be an apple from Kroger.

Willy must fight. Fight to see that Christmas doesn't come and the two belt notches has turned into three and maybe more. Willy has to fight to keep from needing that major New years resolution to lose wait.

Maybe Willy needs to go over to his fellow Arkansan's blog "Paul's Health Blog" to get some tips on getting healthy. Or better yet I could go to his wife's blog "Junkfoodaholic.com". Willy could surely pick up a few tips from there.

Well during the fight Willy might need a little inspiration. For that he could go visit "Shinade" at the Painted Veil. This site is always good for inspiration, great pictures and just pleasant thoughts.

Some humor during the fighting process might be needed and this might be gained by Willy visiting Sandee over at Comedy Plus.

Or maybe if Willy just needs to do some deep thinking he might even take a visit to Kay Dennison over at "Kay's Thinking Cap"

Well, as Willy says tomorrow the fight is on to beat this battle of the bulge or at least for it not to get a greater foot hold between now and Christmas.

But for now -----excuse me for a minute. There is still one piece of pecan pie and Willy don't feel like fighting until tomorrow.

Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving!

Twas the night before Thanksgiving When all through the house

Not a creature was stirring Not even a mouse.

 

The Stockings were hung by the Chimney with care

In hopes that St. Nicklaus soon would be there.

 

The Children were nestled all snug in their beds………….

 

…… wait a minute – it’s the day before Thanksgiving not Christmas eve.

 

What the heck is this.  Willy has been going to the stores for almost three weeks and there have been Christmas stuff out.

 

Man are we afraid we are going to miss a sale.

 

Why even put it away --- let’s just leave it out for next year.

 

Willy would like to have the opportunity to sit around the turkey and express his thanks for this wonderful, economically distressed, $750 million bailout of the big guys, rewarding failure country before we move forward with such a commercialized Christmas.

 

Willy is going to have to go down to the Possum Grit – Road Kill – Café and Cantina to sit around with some rednecks and discuss this.

 

Willy is still convinced that this is the greatest country that ever was. 

 

Willy just needs to get back in his mind why that is!
