No Auto Industry Bailouts

US Congress and Secretary Paulson,

A free market is a market in which property rights are voluntarily exchanged at a price arranged completely by the mutual consent of sellers and buyers. If the seller, or the buyer, finds that a business decision has less than desirable consequences, we believe it is the responsibility of the party involved to find a solution to the problem.

Forcing taxpayers to pay for bad business decisions is not the solution. Nor is it the American way.

When our elected officials choose to spend our money in an effort to interfere with the free market system, without our direct consent, we strongly consider it to be an act that is against the will of the American people.

If you vote to inject taxpayer dollars in to the private sector to bail businesses out of the result of bad decisions, clearly, you are voting against the American foundations of free markets. We, the people, did not get them into this mess and we should not be responsible for getting them out.

I demand the Congress and Secretary Paulson act AGAINST any and all bail outs of the private sector. We understand that the argument for this bail out is that it will ultimately be cheaper than if jobs were lost in this economy. However, the question needs to be asked, “Where will this stop?”

If you support this, I will do everything in my power to remove you from office before you can give away any more of our money to failed businessmen.

Signed,

SIGN THE PETITION NOW!

Center Right Movement Heats up the Internet

On Monday, November 10th www.dontgomovement.com will host an e-launch party to celebrate its fully-functional website and new online radio show devoted to advancing conservative netroots activism.

#dontgo originally began as a simple internet tag that the founders would put on their blog posts while tracking the energy debate by the US Congress on August 1st, quickly it became used by hundreds of activists including members of Congress not just to track the energy bill, but to energize and push conservative values. Soon thereafter the site was created and to date has 30,000 opt-in email subscribers.

The #dontgo Revolution takes web-based strategies and tactics that Democrats used in the last election cycle to advance conservative views and values. The mission is to develop a fifty state strategy of blogs and internet social networks that would get more conservatives active in their communities leading into the 2010 elections.

Communications Director Juliana Johnson states, “As we witnessed in the 2008 elections web-based strategies are imperative. Conservatives have time and time again failed to use the internet to attract voters and get more people active. We hope that with the launch of this website we will be able to effectively wage the battle of ideas with the left in cyberspace.”

Monday’s radio show (online) will air at 5pm CST. In order to listen please go to www.dontgomovement.com and on the right there is a button “listen to #dontgo radio”.

#dontgo was created by Eric Odom and Allen Fuller.

Barack Obama Wins

With Ohio now predicted to go to Barack Obama, there is no way, unless a miracle happens in some of these pro-liberal states, that John McCain can win. You can see what I mean in my previous post. So, with the new president being a Democrat, being pretty socialist, and being black, I just can’t wait to see the social, economic, and political changes that this man will bring about - he is the man that promised change after all.

Either A Landslide or 5

What can I say, with what looks like Barack Obama taking both North Carolina and Florida, all he really needs is California… which he will get. In that case, I have come to the conclusion: Either John McCain will lose big, or (if lucky) picks up North Carolina and Florida, would lost by 5. So… it seems as if Barack Obama has won, but still it is too close to call, even though from what I have messed with it’s to late for McCain.

*To win, John McCain need to capture Ohio, Flordia, and North Carolina. Each state he is losing, Ohio the most. If he fails with Ohio or Florido, it’s over.

Could There Be A Tie

In this historic election, could we actually make even more history?

A candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win the presidency, but there are a few ways in which these candidates can tie. Now, as I have states before, I don’t look at polls that much, but I am a fan of looking back in history. With past results, and some polling numbers this year, I have come to the conclusion that a tie race can really happen.

How did I come to this?

Well, for those of you who do not know this; CNN has this Electoral Map Calculator, in which you can put which candidate wins what state, and it adds up the votes to see who wins. You can access it here: CNN Electoral Map Calculator

To make this explanation eaier, why not you follow along?

If you decide to do so, we will make it a bit easier by starting with CNN’s 2008 estimate. Here you will see what they believe for sure will vote each way, and what states are leaning which, and toss up states. Looking up top you will see that they believe Barack Obama will win, but let’s be a bit more hopeful and change things around.

Leaving the full colored states along, let’s add a bit to John McCain.

Fully give Georgia, Arizonia, West Virginia, and Arkansas to McCain. Out of the Yellow States, give McCain: Montana, North Dakota, Missouri, Indiania, North Carolina, Florida, and Ohio. These states have been voting Republican previously, why stop the trend? With that McCain only needs 81 more votes, and here’s how I get to the tie:

Colorado, and Virginia should technically vote for McCain too.

The rest will all go to Obama, and if my (and CNN’s) math is correct, then there will be a tie!

Could there possibly be a tie when the results come in?

Barack Obama’s Grandmother Dies

Today for the Obama camp is a day of sorrow, just one day before election day and his grandmother, in which raised him and was very influential to him, has died today. This sad loss to Obama and his family could not have come at the worst time.

Even though this is a sad story, maybe this will clinch Barack Obama’s win. Despite his grandmother dieing, he will look strong, and precal over the sadness. People will call in the last minute rejoicing that he can get through any crises, as the lost of a loved one is one of the more harder situations to deal with. His bravery and courage to go on in the election shall inspire others to go and give the nod to Obama, as they too know the feeling of lose, and wish Obama the best.

Now, some of you may be thinking that I am going to far into this, but maybe I haven’t go to far enough? Barack Obama and company have been given a lot of slack, and throughout the campaign Obama has mentioned his grandmother a lot, and has told us all how influential she really was to him. Is this really a loss for Obama?

Well, of course it is, and I’m not trying to be rude in any sense. I am just saying that he can take this loss of a great influential family member, and take it to the White House as President. Now I know this seems like all too much, but just as John Edwards got kudos for staying in after finding out his wife became sick, this could bounce Obama - who is already leading in the polls - unto a win.

Do I want this to happen? No.

Barack Obama in the White House would mean devestation to what the United States really is. His socialist values are of that of the failures in Europe, and all his problems of lowering taxes are just a bunch of fairy tales to get you to vote for him. His other promises include Health Care, more Welfare, more government porgrams in general. But to not get to harsh on him on such a sad day, maybe this loss will trigger his mind into accepting a monetary value of what Middle Class is (in which I say $40,000 - $80,000).

I hope the best for Barack Obama and his family, but maybe this death could be sign of the future if he is elected into office. Once again, I’m not being rude, but such dire circumstances call for the truth to be let out, and this is the biggest news on Barack Obama to hit the media since he won the Primaries.

The Election Is Tuesday, Who Will You Vote For?

Finally this election year is coming to a close, and this Tuesday is the day of reckoning for all the candidates running for President, as well as other political offices throughout the country. With all the last minute news dropping, all the flip-flopping, are you still undecided? Or are you a part of the many courageous men and women who have dug deep and made the commitment to a candidate?

Who knows how many people will actually go to vote Tuesday. Some polls show that Barack Obama is the clear candidate to win. Other polls show John McCain creeping his way up for another Comeback Kid style win. Then again, other polls can show that third party candidates, such as Libertarian Party nominee Bob Barr can surely win the presidency. What does this show me? That the race isn’t over yet, and let’s not believe in polls.

So Tuesday it is, oh how terrible I feel not being able to vote. As you probably know, I am indeed still in high school, and not yet eighteen, but oh if I could vote, how wonderful it would be. But, my question isn’t about me, but about you. Who will you vote for?

Now I know this is a private question, in which you do no have to say. But just out of curiosity I would like to know who all voted for who. I wonder who will vote out of ignorance, if one candidate is white, or one candidate is black, or if one candidate is old or the other young. Or even if one is a Democrat, or the other is Republican. The thought of Americans making such uneducated guesses scares me, but not much I can do except try to educate us all.

This ignorance shows us who might already win. States like Alabama will vote John McCain, while states like New York will vote Democrat. Just like we can understand that most whites will vote John McCain, while most blacks will vote Barack Obama. I know all of this, and you know all of this, and we do not even have to research that much. We can just walk the streets, drive through neigborhoods, or even watch the evening news to see who is really voting who. So why I even ask this question?

Well, it is not really for me to find out who you are voting for, but for you to find out who you are voting for. There is a day left before you have to make a final decision. Why not look up the facts, why not see the candidates for who they really are. Stop listening to the bias media, those reporters who are suppose to be fair. Why not look up the information yourself?

I know, it can be kind of difficult, but to do a little research can save this country. You see, if you vote for the wrong candidate, more than likely that candidate will be in office for four years. Wouldn’t that just be dreadful. This post isn’t for me to tell you who to vote for. I mean really, I guess you should be thinking right now why are you even reading this little piece by someone who cannot vote himself? Well, do as you wish, but I too will be living in the same world as you, and I shall ask you again, for the sake of you, me, and this great country: Who will you be voting for?

September 11th

It has come that time again in the year, in which all Americans, and the whole world at that, see what terrible people live in this world. Septmember 11th, 2001, brought about terrorist attacks involving four U.S. civilian planes, all filled with civilians, and three of those planes attack three different buldings, in two different cities, all holding civilians of the United States, and other countries abroad. The tradegy that had come to our country that day, will always be remembered, and will always never be forgiven.

Through the passing years, Americans, and the whole world at that, have seem to have lost the fighting spirit. The spirit in which united all Americans in the following days of the attacks, and brought us all together to combat the evilis of terrorist organizations. Why? Why have we lost such patriotic feelings? Why must we be in the bad situations we are in?

Just remember, just because things have seem to gone a bit downhill since that faithful day, just remember back, and regain that spirit of patriotism, that spirit of a fighter, and remember those who were killed, those who were attacked, and those who were changed for the rest of their lives.

We see this day as a memorial day, in which we honor those who died on Septemeber 11th, 2001, and remember those who have died since then in protecting our freedoms, and the freedoms of others, and all at the same time destroying those who did, and who would do, these attacks.

Just remember what this day is all about, and let us reunite again to fix this troubling country, and this troubling world, and let us all feel the freedoms in which we fill here in America, and let’s all become one, and let’s all never forget those who parished on this faithful day.

Bob Barr Only Candidate On Texas Ballot?

Well, for any of you guys who don’t keep up much with Bob Barr, nor receive his e-mails from his campaigns, then you might not know this quite yet. Today, Barr supporters were sent an e-mail describing the situation in Texas. The deadline to be listed on the Texas presidential ballow was the 26th of August, and as of that date, both the Republicans and the Democrats had not submited the particular forms to be on the ballot. With strict laws to get on ballots everywhere, Texas has a tough one too. With Bob Barr by himself on the ballot, will the state of Texas go against it’s own laws to put the main two party on as well? I guess we will just have to sit back and see, but hopefully such actions will not take place, as rules are rules, and if you miss deadlines, you are left behin.

Click ‘read more’ for the e-mail.

I’m Still Here

For any of you guys who actually visit this blog, and have seen that I haven’t been active much around the blogoshpere, there is no worries, as I am still here. With school starting a couple of weeks ago, I have just needed to adjust to school, band, and work, as well as enough sleep to last me through such busy days. Instead of my almost 24 hour access to the internet in the summer, it has now dwindled down to a mere 4 hours at most a day.

So don’t worry, once I get adjusted I will be active all over the place. As for now, I will start up with the debate club as school; and I just started a Bob Barr Meetup for Mobile, Alabama, so I am looking forward to that taking off too (even though it has been slow so far). Well, that’s about it.
