Beatrice the Bookworm Bead

Beatrice is my little bookworm
who loves nothing more than to read her books. She always has her nose in one book or another. Beatrice has her little pink book opened up to her favorite chapter -- she's even got a bookmark to mark it so she can always open it up and go right to her favorite spot. She's a bead creation that I've been making for a while and I just love her!

The entire bookworm bead is hand-sculpted from polymer clay. The book has a 'bookmark' with a little round bead charm that has a heart center that hangs down from the bookmark. There is also a floral sticker on the outside of her book, you know like all the kids do.

The approximate size of the bead is:
1" top to bottom
3/4" side to side

The bead is pierced vertically from top of head to bottom of bookworm.

The bead would be great to create something special for a teacher or a student.

Product Reviews

Looking for a great resource guide on the Internet, a site that lets you in on all of the latest products and allows you the opportunity to review the products and read reviews of the product. The site has everything from Guides to Manage a Restaurant to Addiction Help. There are a few that I had noticed as I was browsing through the categories and of course the DIY and the Dog Training sections are what caught my eye. I browsed through quite a few of the sites and the dog training was actually the first one I stopped in and there I came across a few interesting sites with some great resources and e-books that are available for purchase. There was another category that got my attention and that is Alternative and Renewable Energy. We are currently looking into making our cabin more energy efficient and solar panels are one of the main things that has interested me of late. I may be checking out some of the resources and the reviews that they have on the site. So if you're looking for a resource/review guide and you're in need of some information whether it be for guitar playing, wedding planning or self improvement resources, there are plenty of them here to be found!

A Great Way to Start

Purple Snake Bracelet, RoseWorksJewelry

I'm starting out the New Year with a post about a wonderful seller RoseWorksJewelry. Ruth of RoseWorkJewelry is a fellow member of our Etsy Bloggers Street team, but I first had the pleasure of noticing Rose Work Jewelry's blog while I was blogging dropping my Entrecards. Then we ran into each other at Twitter and her ease of conversation got us chatting over there. It's so nice to have friends around the cyberworld to chat with because some days typing on the computer just don't cut it! Check out her shop and all of her wonderful jewelry. Ruth has now opened up a shop with her mom, kstreasures, which stands for Kindred Spirits, a mother/daughter dynamic duo team.

Fred the French Bulldog and the Booty Dance

Fred loves to do the booty dance. I'm sure most dog owners are very familiar with this dance, but for those who are unfamiliar, we shall clue you in. Little Fred the French Bulldog here is so excited about his new tug toy that he's running around the house with his booty way up in the air running back and forth, dancing around picking it up and dropping it. This dance can last for several seconds or many minutes depending on the excitement level. In our home we know this dance all too well and it usually lasts a couple of minutes.

Fred and his tug toy are hand-sculpted with polymer clay. The bestest part about Fred's tug toy is it is partially made with glow in the dark clay so when he's playing with it, it lights up at night -- makes for an even wilder booty dance :). He is varnish sealed for protection.

Punk Kid Beads - Mohawk Blue

Mohawk Blue Punk Kid Head Beads

So every once in a while I like to make other critter and kitschy beads. I love to create dogs, but this is my second love making these little punk kid beads and critter beads. I call this punk kid Mohawk Blue, well because of his blue Mohawk of course. I have made a full sized bead and two smaller head beads to match.

Holiday Frames

Nothing can dress up your holiday wardrobe like a new pair of holiday frames. There a lot of fun new frames to choose from and if you're going to a great New Year's party why not add a pair of glasses to your wardrobe. I mean yeah, the dress is great, the shoes are wonderful, necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring can all gussy up your wardrobe, but if you wear glasses why not wear a great pair! I actually think some people look better in glasses, like my nephew, when he wears glasses I don't know why but it makes him look way cuter. Some people actually wear glasses who do not even need prescription glasses, they just wear them to fancy up their appearance. I know for me I've always worn glasses or contacts and some days I'm in the mood for glasses and some days contacts, but since I've been getting a bit older I prefer glasses more often than not. I've picked out this red pair that I really like because they are pretty simple but with a small flair. I love the red and the small design at the temples, these are just my style! And the best part about it is they're affordable!
