Coming back after you post

The reason why less and less people use these forums anymore, and I use them less than I used to is because many on this forum post and then don't come back to get the people that post later. These forums are 24 hours, that is why they are called by days of the week. If you post just after midnight, you should still check up until midnight of the next day. If I write a post early afternoon, I don't want to wait until midnight to submit it, but I know when I submit it to these forums that late that I'll barely get anyone coming back for me. It wasn't always that bad. If you want the votes, do what is right and give them also.

I totally agree, this way of doing the diggs, stumbles, etc... is really not working well at all :S

I tend to be the down the list when I submit my posts for digging etc, so I know what you mean.

In spite of this I have created a new post with my Digg, Buzz and Reddit details in. I prefer all these things to be together than spread over three posts and since I am the first to post I get to chose the format.

Feel free to add your own.

Modern Historian - I'm sorry, but you can't invent new threads like that. If you have a suggestion for improving this forum, we need to know what other people think of it before anything changes, and we (the EC team) need to be OK with it.

A while back I suggested a "Weekend Stumbles" thread for instance, to roll up the Saturday and Sunday Stumbles into one thread. In a similar way we could just have a "Weekend Exchanges" thread as activity seems to be lower at the weekend.

Rolling up all the exchanges into one daily thread might work, but it could become a mess of links, and not everyone uses every network.

Suggestions welcome, but changes must be discussed prior to the rules being updated.

Apologies

I didn't realise that these forums were subject to rules regarding the format that posts should take.

I have now read the guidelines and will stick to the standard format in future.
