someone put up this idea (as a website) in a thread a couple of days ago, but they weren't sure of how to implement it.

here's my variation on it: a "choose your own adventure" blog. Every couple of days, a new chapter is posted. Then at the end of that chapter you are given several choices. The people who read your blog will then get to vote on which choice they like the most. The one with the most votes will be next week's chapter, and so on...what do you think?

I like it. Could be a lot of fun. Obviously it still needs to be an interesting read.

Me and Canucklehead are still working on this... We haven't killed or scraped the idea...It just takes a while to map it all out.

I was just thinking about something like that the other day (not starting one, but participating on one). Would definitely be a good test for one's creative writing skills! I'd be down...

No kidding? I wrote a post reminiscing on Choose your own Adventure books (Posted April 21, 2008, can be found in archives, if interested in reading it) couple months back. I think this is an awesome idea, and I hope it bears fruit. I'd enjoy reading something like this again. It being in a blog format would be pretty cool in my opinion. Good luck.

That sounds like fun. Could get really crazy (in a fun way) with multiple authors. I'd be up for being a reader/voter.

Let's be fair - I had the idea but BadEvan will clearly be the heor if it comes to fruition. The idea is to have it cover multiple blogs - that being said, I am considering a blogspot blog that will simply be a HUGE adventure that is always there. Of course, its unlikely that I'll ever get around to it if someone else wants to steal the idea. Well, actually there are many of these existing on the web already. Oh wait -- I had no point ...
