iPhone Bloggers?

A Greedy Genius

How many of you post from your iPhone? I downloaded the application the other day but have yet to utilize it due to taking my latest blog live only yesterday.

If you do how do you like it, any quirks with it?

Thanks, Greedy

iPhone is for losers...

I say this because they are for sh*t. I went into the AT&T store and was told that because I already have an AT&T account (customer in good standing) I'm not eligible for an iPhone. They can't sell me one. In a word, that is F'd up.

I carry a blackberry as well, my iphone is basically my ipod and web browser seeing that no other phone can compare in those 2 aspects. :)

BS: They can sell you one but you would be required to pay full retail as I did which was $550 after tax for the 16gb 3g. :(

$550.00 for a phone you have more money than brains.

Well, this AT&T Store wouldn't even sell me one. I didn't push it because I figured they were doing me a favor. I use Quicktime because I have to and its free. Other than that, Apple can F themselves.

Apple products tend to be way overpriced. I agree that kind of money for a phone is insane, but then I don't really play with a phone. I just talk on them when I have to.

@BS: That's not Apple's fault. That's AT&T's fault. Leave AT&T = problem solved. I bet you if you wrote Apple with that story, you'd get one for free (or at least at some discount).

I want an iPhone.

I'm with you, Dot Com. The phone is for talking.

Laptop is for playtime. And work. And surfing.

Fragile is probably right in that aspect. Apple is always bending over backwards to help customers and would be customers alike. I remember when the macbook pro had flaws they would replace the 15" with a fully loaded 17" for no extra cost.

Diva: I no longer have the necessity to use my laptop when I have both devices on me. The blackberry is an amazing email device and the iPhone picks up the slack where the blackberry leaves off allowing the only laptop necessity to be document creation/editing.

FWIW, whenever I am away from my home base for more than a day, I blog from my Motorola Razr. Pretty much any phone that allows you to send pictures from it is a good platform for blogging.

In my case, I send a picture, with a description to a special Flickr account, that then cross posts my picture to my blog.

There are some other nice tools for this. Posterous is good for receiving emails and posting them to your blog. You can probably do some nice similar stuff with Utterz, which is a great site to use, but right now, I don't have Utterz set up to cross post.

As to iPhones, I'd love to have one. I just don't have the money for one.

How about a Palm Centro? It has more functions than the iPhone, free applications, cheaper service, and lower cost of purchase. Oh and you can actually get the insurance on it. AT&T won't offer insurance on the iPhone.

Gmomma - Didn't you get a Centro?
