One of the most influential, most recorded bass players of all time agreed to an interview for my blog! I sort of announced it today and have been on pins and needles ever since.
Yeah, I know. "What's a bass player?" right? Nobody ever notices us standing in the back by the drummer.
But this is huge for me! Please say something nice like "Way to go!" or something.
Or poke fun. I don't care. I'm too stinkin' excited to care!
Have you ever done that? Posted something and just turned into a bundle of nerves over it? This is really a first for me.
Maybe I need meds? Hypnosis? Something?

I'm really pleased that you're excited.
Blogging can do that sometimes, makes it all worth while.
Good look with the Bassist. :)

I know exactly what you mean. One day Celtophilia is going to get an interview with Gaelic Storm or the Cheiftans and I'm going to act the same way. :)

Breathing in the feelings of success you hear the sound of the bass strumming.... You picture and imagine just how much you will enjoy living a musical dream......... oh the sweet sounds of success....

@Celto-Man - Dude. Just ask. Yeah, you put yourself out there and risk a 'no', but you'll never get a 'yes' if you don't ask. Go for it!
@HypnoLady - Thanks. I knew I could count on you! You're sure all that success visualization stuff isn't going to make me hyperventillate, right?
@Amy - You're the 2nd person to mention Jason Newstead. Maybe he'll be next. I'm sort of angling for Victor Wooten, though. Or maybe Meshelle Ndegeocello, if I want to stick to girl bassists. (I haven't interviewed any guys yet - just all women. Can guys play bass? heh.)
@The rest of you ECers - Thank you! I'm still in knots, but I'm visualizing musical dreams...

That's right, Mogul Cow. Nobody notices the bass player. Until we're not there anymore.
Thanks, Everyone. Feeling the visualization of the sweet sound of success was starting to overload my senses a bit. Breathing helps. (But then there's that smell thing...)
I'm starting to calm down a little.

Actually that was all in jest. I like bass players and agree the music would suffer without them. Congrats on your exciting interview.
