Dropping your card
How to drop your card
To drop your card, visit any site listed on Entrecard, and click the “Drop” text on the widget.
If the drop goes through successfully, a “Thanks!” message will display.
Where does my card go when I drop it?
After you drop your card for someone, it will appear in the Inbox of that person's dashboard. This lets them know you visited their site, and lets them visit you back.
This is what the inbox looks like from your dashboard:
What if a widget says "Get One" instead of "Drop Yours"
If you are an Entrecard member, and you see the “Get One” message instead of “Drop”, it means you are not properly logged in.
To resolve this, follow our Cannot log in guide.
Follow these simple steps to relieve this problem:
Benefits of dropping cards
- Dropping a card earns you 1 Entrecard Credit each time you drop.
- Dropping a card for someone increases the chances that they will visit your blog.
- It is a great way to see what other bloggers in your niche are talking about.
- It is a great way to discover new blogs!
How many cards can I drop per day?
You can only drop a maximum of 300 cards per day.
How do I find blogs to drop my card on?
Simply click on the “Campaign” page from the site's main navigation. Every blog listed here will have the Entrecard widget for you to drop on.
Does it cost credits to drop cards?
No! In fact, you'll earn a credit every time you drop a card.
Dropping Cards vs. Advertising
When you drop a card for someone, it goes into their inbox that they view when they log into Entrecard. When you purchase an advertisement on someone's blog, it costs you credits (prices vary) and your ad will run for a full 24 hours on the blog of your choice.
Final note on card dropping
When you drop a card for someone, please make your best effort to read the latest post of the blog and leave a comment. This is not required, but is considered proper etiquette when using Entrecard. After all, you would want everyone to read your latest post and comment when they drop their card for you.
