Advertising
As an Entrecard member, you are free to apply to advertise on any of the 13,000+ blogs in our network. When you purchase an advertisement on a site, your ad will run for 24 hours, and will not be in rotation with any other ad. Under the current system, ad prices double each time a spot is purchased, and halve once per day.
Placing your first ads
First, you'll need to find some sites to advertise on. Click on the Campaign button in the navigation bar, then click Search. You will be able to find sites in specific categories or across the whole site, and order them based on a number of criteria.
To advertise on a site, you must have enough credits to cover the cost. The advert price is shown beneath each card. Click on the “Advertise” link to place an ad.
Cancelling an ad
To cancel an ad, go to your Dashboard and click Your ads. Ads that have been approved but have not started running can be cancelled by clicking on the Cancel link. If the ad has not yet been approved, go to the Pending Ads page and you can cancel the ad there. Cancelling an ad will automatically refund the credits you paid for the ad.
Credits earned from accepted adverts
You receive the credits from an advertisement when it has completed. You get 25% of the price paid to advertise on your site. The other 75% get deleted from the system to prevent inflation.
Advertising price
The formula to calculate a members' advertising price is 2 to the power of your queue. What this means is that your ad price doubles for every ad in your queue, both Pending and Approved. Note that your price may not increase or decrease as soon as the number of ads in your queue changes. There may be a delay in the price change.

Ad Queue Full
You might see this message on blogs you would like to advertise on. This means that a particular member has more than 5 pending requests from others who would like to advertise on that site.
Approving Ads
You approve other members wishing to advertise on your site from your dashboard. They are listed in the “Advertisers” column. Click the “Approve” button to approve them, or the “decline” button to deny them.
Automatic approval
There are a couple of reasons why an ad is approved automatically:
- You have approved an ad from this site in the past and the latest ad auto-approved. You can control this; go to your Dashboard and click Advert Settings. You can choose whether to auto-approve ads that you've approved in the past.
- You haven't approved any ads in 10 days. Ads will auto-approve if you don't approve anything in 10 days.
