Monthly ad spots on Entrecard blog now available

A few people have asked us why we sell advertising on the blog through Project Wonderful as opposed to direct ad sales or other more profitable means. We’ve always responded that we like Project Wonderful because of the ability to purchase advertising for just a day, which breaks the entry point down to what is currently $10. That’s something anyone can afford, and we were proud to offer that entry point.
However, there has no doubt been both a market and a demand for advertising on Entrecard by the month. And that is why we are rolling out monthly ad slots on the blog for just $75 per month. It will rotate with one other ad in the same slot.

This is a great value and a perfect way to reach such a highly targeted niche of bloggers. I’m sure the limited spots will be snatched up quickly. Of course, once purchased, they will not be available for another month down the road.
You can see the ad space on the right sidebar just under the Entrecard widget.

UPDATE:
The price is now $150 for the ad spot. The reason is that we are expanding this ad zone to the rest of the site shortly, and taking down project wonderful. So it will be 500x more exposure for just twice the price.

Well, seeing as EntreCard is buying credits at a rate of $7.50 / 1000 why not offer the spot for 10,000EC?

Where is the exact placement of the banners for 75$ a month , I can`t figure it out , is it the one underneath the “Subscribe via email – Bonus Credits!” ? I am pretty interested , and also looking for some stats , on how much traffic it can generate monthly. If we take a look at Entrecard`s Alexa traffic statistics and rank is around 10,000 and keeps growing , this should send some nice traffic to the advertised blog.

Entre is wonderful and the source of my most traffic in the past month, i wish though i could buy the ad spot with EC credits? perhaps in the near future!

Basically, very shortly we’re moving this ad box to the rest of the site, and taking project wonderful down.
It will be a whole lot more exposure, and the people who got in early are getting one heck of a deal!

I dont think it is far that the project wonderful ads which are currently only $7 are in a higher placement on the blog…. and it says Sponsor while people who pay $150 have their advertisement further down in a place not everyone will look and it doesnt even say sponsors…… =(
I would definitely buy an ad place if the deal was more attractive but when big companies like Inet Interactive will allow you to get a ad for $100 and have better placement I can justify a purchase of an ad spot for $150.
So I propose you move the new ad spots that cost the $75-150 and move those advertisers to a more prominent spot like the top of the EC Blog and also site wide on EntreCard in the top right hand corner and get rid of project wonderful……

You guys need to remove Project Wonderful ASAP and move the other ads up and make them site wide aswell…. these people are paying $150 when the Project Wonderful ad spots are only $7.50 …. see unfairness in this?

Project wonderful is actually more expensive because it’s a daily rate. At the time we launched the ads, it was $10 per day via PW, which would be 300 per month.
The other ads are selling on a monthly basis and priced cheaper than PW.

Our question asking if we can pay in EC credits is still unanswered. Graham, may we know if we can pay in EC credits for the ad space? Thanks for the reply.
