Entrecard has been Acquired by Ziprunner
Written on July 16th, 2009 by Graham
Dear Entrecarders,
It is with great excitement that I announce Entrecard.com, Inc. has
been Acquired by ZipRunner Inc.
ZipRunner has the resources, vision, and dedication to Entrecard that
will allow it to grow in pursuit of the vision I laid out nearly two
years ago.
Moving forward, my relationship to Entrecard will be that of an
advisor, and I will help the good folks at ZipRunner take the whole
project to the next level.
ZipRunner Inc. was chosen out of a number of potential suitors because
of the resources they can dedicate to the project, their exciting
vision for the company’s future, and their understanding of social
media and the blogosphere.
I urge you all to look forward to a bigger, better Entrecard, and I
couldn’t be more proud to bring it to this point before passing the
torch. I’ve heard first hand all the great things that are in store
for the company and it’s members, and needless to say it has me quite
excited.
If you would like to keep in touch with me in the future, you can
find me at my new blog Ontrapranore.com where I look forward to
sharing my stories of entrepreneurship and starting/running internet
companies.
Whether you love or hate the decisions I’ve made for Entrecard in the
past, I always did the best I could to move the company forward given
the resources I had, and I always had the best interest of the members
in mind. Now, with new management and ownership stepping in, I urge
anyone who has left the service to give it another chance, and I urge
those who have been loyal members for days, weeks, months, or years to
look forward to a brighter future, a reliable and stable service, and
great new features and strategic direction.
Signing Off,
Graham Langdon

I couldn’t find this group’s website. Link please.
July 16th, 2009 at 12:19 pm
It was a nice network and had a good vision, I hope you profited from the enterprise.
July 16th, 2009 at 12:27 pm
You should be very proud of what you have accomplisged here in such a short time. I wish you luck and I will be folling your blog for your next adventure.
I have tried searching ziprunner online and can not find anything. Is this an established company or a new venture?
July 16th, 2009 at 12:30 pm
So Entrecard has been bought off… So now what? Will the site structure be the same? Will Ziprunner change the game? What about our Entrecard credits? A lot of questions and no answers.
July 16th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Hey what will happen to entrecard? many questions but i think it will be all good.
Just wanted to know i am holding a contest and will there be a problem lifting my limits?
July 16th, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Goodluck for your Graham. Looking forward for your next project if any. In the mean time i would choose to stay alert and if the EntreCard is getting worst looks like it’s the time to leave the network..anyway, it was such a great network and i really enjoyed the services..
July 16th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
Good luck to you Graham and thanks for all the hard work you put into Entrecard.
I really enjoyed the service Entrecard has provided and like others I will take a wait and see approach regarding the changes implement by the new management.
July 16th, 2009 at 1:37 pm
What a surprise.
July 16th, 2009 at 1:47 pm
OK ZipRunner people, let’s hear from you now — you can post comments here as easily as we can.
Oh, and welcome to the neighborhood.
July 16th, 2009 at 1:52 pm
Hmmm… I wonder what changes the new owners plan.
July 16th, 2009 at 2:03 pm
Entrecard has been a great resource for me. I’m sticking it out through the growing pains because I feel that what this system has given me is worth my time and effort.
Welcome aboard to the new owners. I would love to maintain my mod status so I can continue to help keep Entrecard clean.
Hate to see you go, Graham. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me.

Good luck Graham! You should be so proud of your accomplishments and a job well done. Your success has been partially if not largely due to your taking chances to better the Entrecard service.
I
am looking forward to what Ziprunner will accomplish and bring to the table as well. Change is scary, but exciting and necessary also!
Keep us posted on your new ventures as I’m sure they will be just as successful,
July 16th, 2009 at 2:41 pm
Good luck to Graham and to Ziprunners both.
July 16th, 2009 at 3:18 pm
weird… why would you say there is a brighter future now that someone else has taken over?
July 16th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
@spinner availability of resources at ZipRunner maybe?
July 16th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
you make your blog sound like every one else was to blame ? and you were a lone runner, ever wonder why you were a lone rnner ?
that said we all move forward
July 16th, 2009 at 3:51 pm
Because the system has outgrown Graham’s ability to maintain what is needed. It’s just gotten a bit too large. Plus, there are many members who harbor animosity towards Graham – and that has caused contention.
Perhaps a fresh outlook can be achieved with new owners and new concepts.

Is this goodbye or hello to Entrecard?
July 16th, 2009 at 4:32 pm
When I first started my blog I was fortunate to find EntreCard and have enjoyed being a member. As with anything in life, people always seem to worry about any changes and many balk at the idea. I have a “wait and see” attitude and hope that whatever changes may be in the offing will help to make this a better service than it currently is.
Thank you Graham for all the hard work you’ve put in and best of luck in any future venture.

Looking forward to a new beginning with Ziprunner! Goodbye Graham.
July 16th, 2009 at 10:26 pm
and now the games begin.
July 17th, 2009 at 12:56 am
It’s been a fun ride. This might be a good opportunity to look at alternatives like Spottt or Publicity Wheel.
July 17th, 2009 at 2:38 am
Well, well, the unexpected always happens.
Thank you Graham for founding and nurturing Entrecard to what it is now, giving great opportunities to new and established bloggers to generate additional traffic and blog promotion.
Life goes on. So, I wish you success in your new venture(s), and I hope Entrecard will be in good hands with the new owners, and will continue the EC as the currency.
I also hope that whatever new changes and innovations the new owners will introduce in the short term, I trust it will be for the greater good of the members and the community.
Otherwise, I will pack up and leave without prior notice.

Ziprunner who?
July 17th, 2009 at 3:06 am
I couldn’t find anything on the web about ziprunner. Perhaps somebody could enlighten me or point me to their web site?
July 17th, 2009 at 5:11 am
I am fortunate that I found Entrecard when I started my blog. Its one of the few sites which have had a great impact on blogging.
Thank you Graham for such a great site. But,sorry to see you go.All the best for your future projects.
I would be more than willing to continue to be a mod of Entrecard,
July 17th, 2009 at 9:43 am
I “waited” and what I “saw” was traffic level plummet, increasing system error and a collapse into complete non-response to queries. It is all very well being optimistic but at some point it has to stop.
July 17th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
Why are my comments still awaiting moderation? I don’t think I wrote anything negative.
July 17th, 2009 at 4:56 pm
Its so said to see Graham leave. Thank you for the Entrecard, it really have been helping me. Hope all the best to you. Why did you sell Entrecard? It got a lot of potential.
For Ziprunner, can’t wait to see how can we make this site more exciting.
July 18th, 2009 at 9:37 am
Well Graham, thank you for creating Entrecard.
It’s a pity you will go on feeling a great entrepreneur while you’ve been developing this project with loads of advices of the bloggers leading to many Ad Hoc decisions.
I’m not sure we can be happy to see you stay on as advisor.
When you sell a project you should move on and devote all your attention to a new project, instead of staying here in the way between the new management and us.
I hope you’ve made you so much money, you will donate a bit to : Action for Autism.
Ofcourse I know I’ve always been critical and downright honest.
Business is more than using people to make money.
I hope you’ll find that out in life.
