It’s been a while since we had a good old fashion commentRUSH, because things got pretty crazy for a week with the toolbar release. We’re bringin it back on track today, with S · T · I · T · C · H · E · S, and a topic that is very close to my heart. For those of you who are new, the commentRUSH is a weekly activity by Entrecard members to read a selected post and leave a comment. I guess you could say it is kind of like a book club, and it’s a great way for us to support each other in our blogging efforts.
I’m going to be mean, and not even tell you in advance what this week’s commentRUSH post is about, but nevertheless it is something everyone can sound off on.
Please support a fellow blogger and read their post, and comment your thoughts. Let’s go for the gold this time, and rile up over 200 comments! We can do it!
Update:
The comments section is under moderation, so your comment may not appear until the owner of this blog checks out their blog for the day, and realizes there are a hundred comments awaiting approval. What fun!

commentRUSH is a weekly Entrecard activity in which we highlight a blog and encourage everyone to go read a specific post and comment on it. By commenting on the post, we engage in discussion with each other, and the author, and show our support for others in the community. To participate, read the post, and leave a comment! Have fun!
I have to say, Things I Am Grateful for is quickly becoming one of my favorite blogs. It first came to my attention when the owner was one of the first people to enter the “Feature your Feed” promotion we held the other week, in which a hundred plus people lined up to pitch their feed to the masses. Things I’m Grateful For was the first blog to step up.
Their own description of the site is as follows: “I got sick of having a miserable life, so I tried making lists of things that I was grateful for, to cheer myself up. It worked so well, I posted them to a public website.”
So, right away this blog gets my vote. It embodies what I consider to be the true spirit of blogging, just someone trying to share a bit of their life with the world, and trying to bring a bit of happiness and perspective to others.
Today’s post, the one we are commenting on, is Things I’m Grateful For Sunday July 20 is short and sweet. A simple list of 21 things that they are grateful for today, something that has made them laugh, and some things they want, and have, manifested.
I promise that this read will make you think of at least one thing that YOU are grateful for today, and that will make you smile. So, without further ado, GO COMMENT!
Editors notes:
- The loading time of this blog is slow. I apologize, but I was so enthusiastic about using it for today’s commentRUSH that I didn’t want to penalize this wonderful blog because it is loading a little slow. Let it load in the background while you do other stuff on the web, and come back to it when its done.
- Perhaps someone can suggest a few tips in the comments to improve the loading time?
- This blog does not have SezWho, just to re-affirm that we do not exhibit a preference over members who participate in SezWho, and it will never exempt you from our community.
- The Entrecard widget on this blog probably won’t show up for the time being, because our widgets are actually down right now. We’re working to fix the problem. Sorry!

For this weeks commentRUSH we’re heading over to The Everyday Ramblings of an Extraordinary Chica, Monique Renae! In her latest post, she asks the blogosphere “Does this mean I have a life?” Let’s all stop by and tell her what we think. Have some fun with it!
As always with commentRUSH, our goal is to get over 100 comments for one lucky Entrecarder every Sunday. Be sure to participate to increase your chances that you will get picked next!
UPDATE: 117 comments! Thanks everyone!

Well it’s Sunday again, and hopefully you’ve all had a terrific weekend! As you know, last Sunday we started what we call “Comment RUSH”, which in practice is actually kind of like a book club -we all read a post from an EC member, and leave a comment if we have something to say.
For this week’s comment RUSH, I have selected Mouse Clone’s article “How was your independence day?” The title begs a question that anyone can respond to, but once you read the post, you see that Mouse Clone has a message and a voice that he feels needs to be shared with everyone. It’s a good read, a thought provoking read, and it has a positive message about the direction we are going in as a society.
Read it and have your say!

The Entrecard Comment Rush is a community project to spotlight a blog just like yours, and get the entire Entrecard community interacting with each other outside of the gated walls of Entrecard.com, sharing our thoughts and feelings in a way that is motivational and supportive to our fellow members.

For the first ever Comment Rush, we have chosen Ken Armstrong’s post “Music and Driving.” The post talks about something I’m sure most of us can relate to- hearing a particular song, while driving in a car, and having that song leave such a lasting imprint in our memories that we will remember it for the rest of our lives.
Please show your support for the Entrecard community, and head over to Ken’s blog and share an experience you’ve had like this.
UPDATE:
Wow! 55 Comments so far! We’re more than half way to our goal of 100 comments! Thanks for everyone who has taken the time to show a little support for a fellow blogger!
UPDATE #2:
Comment Rush #1 was an overwhelming success! It took just 7 hours to hit our goal of 100 comments! As of this update, Ken has 121 149 comments. Congratulations Ken and a big thanks to everyone who showed their support! See you for next week’s comment rush!
